You will enjoy being retarded (past tense of retired). I became retarded 7-1-99 and now it is 2017 and I have not had a single thought of working again. Once you get on the road, try to schedule in one of the PC No Rally rallies where you will meet a bunch of great people and a couple of old sore heads. As far as having enough money to retire, I have discovered that most of us spend what money we receive and owning a Prevost just lets you spend it quicker. Enjoy your time on the road and enjoy each other’s company, as none of us get out of this old world alive. Thank both of you for your service to our great country.

New England has some Awesome places to see and To visit. But The Traffic and Road Conditions are Horrendous ! Have You ever been on a Rotary ? For those that Haven’t , It is a Large Circle sometimes 4-6 Lanes wide With No Lines. And Several Roads that feed off of it. You have to be a Offensive and Defensive Driver to enter some of them. Like the One to enter Cape Cod / Bourne Bridge comes to mind. Mass is the worst for those things ! Traffic everywhere swerving left and right , To either pass or get over for their exit. They are not Shy about cutting You off , Several Will give You the International Hello Symbol of the Finger in the air ! If You can not get over to exit on the Spur Road You need , You will have to go Around again ! I only Stopped on a Busy Rotary once, Trust Me , Something You do not want to do. Hwy 1 Out of Boston , AVOID during any Rush Hours. It has 2 lanes each way, With a Breakdown / Shoulder on the Right. ( For Emergency’s Right ? ) No They start passing On the Right , Then that Becomes a Lane that is Completly Full , And very narrow by the way. A Police Officer that I worked with Up there , Told Me about People having a Heart attack or Health emergency on the Hwy. And No Ambulance could get to them. I lived on the Cape a While and traveled it Daily. Plymouth Rock is Cool , Good Fresh Lobster straight off of the Docks. Also Lived on Nantucket Island for several Months. It is Very Cool , But Mighty Expensive ! Upstate NY is Awesome , Lake George , Lake Placid , Lake Champlain. And the Finger lakes are not bad. You will have to travel the Thruways , Pay Tolls , Fight Traffic the entire time. Salmon Fishing In Pulaski , Ny Is a Real experience ! Connecticut is Awesome Too, Lived outside of Mystic for about a Year. Blue Blood Area , Largest Casino / Foxwoods is a Sight. Groton Submarine Base is Cool. The Fall Colors ” Foilage ” They call it up in that area is Most Awesome Natural Blend of Colors ever ! Its Kinda like The Grand Canyon in the aspect of ” Pictures do not do it justice ” I Always wanted to go to Maine , But never made it up there. Interesting Note : Was working On Nantucket . And We kept seeing 2-3 Helicopters Chasing a Plane. And old Gent that worked with Us , Told Us ” Those people that made the show Cheers are making another TV show Called Wings ! I was scared to death of Flying at the time. My Wife and Our infant Daughter flew Home to see Her Father. And had a Return trip to Providence. I was to take the Ferry To Mainland and Drive To providence and Pick Her up. Winter time , High Seas and they shut the ferry down. Only way off of the island was the little 10 Seater like they have on the Show. She was already in route from Nashville, So I had No Choice , And Luckily Got tha last seat available. Air Pockets over the Ocean , Drop so fast Your Stomach would be in My Mouth, LOL ! Had a Young Pilot , Ice covered Runway with Sand slung on it for traction. But after getting over being Nervous , It was a Fun Trip ! LOVE Flying Now ! Be Careful In NE , Safe Travels !!!

We live in Walpole Mass, and have a full hook up spot if you need a place to stop over. We are close enough

to Boston for day tripping. The rotary at the Bourne bridge was replaced years ago by a fly over. No problem

getting to the Cape except regular traffic. Go to reserve America and check out Scusset Beach Campground. It’s

on the mainland side, no bridge travel necessary. Reserve early, like six months early because it fills up.

We also have Otis Airforce base on the Cape, where you might be able to stay.

thanks for the well wishes. We are very excited. I appriciate the feedback. Ill take all the info i can on the NE. Im familiar with boston. We wont be taking the bus in. Our plan is to use the military campgrounds as mutch as possible. We’ll take the toad into the busy areas. It will be fun and challeging.

As for the PC roundup, now that our schedules will be open, we plan on being there. This community is fantastic. Jon & Tom have set up a great storehouse of information. Its time to meet them

One more thing, if you are traveling this way, go on line and get an “EZ Pass” toll transponder.

It will save you a lot of time and aggrevation. There is also a great base in Lexington Mass, Hanscom Air Base.

It is close to Boston, and Lexington has a lot of historical sites.

We’ll be up in your neck of the woods in May. Looked at Scusset SP, but their site says they will only accommodate 40′ rigs, so we booked over at Bayview Campground. It’s over Memorial Day weekend so we booked early.

Never have I seen a 40′ site that you can’t get a 45′ into. Geo.

But what if some camper noticed our Prevost, knew they were 45′ in length, complained to the Park Ranger, and next thing you know we’re sitting at Walmart for Memorial Day Weekend. In this case I erred on the side of caution, but your point is well taken.

We usually go to a local rally at Second Beach in Rhode Island that weekend.

You could come with us if we are going, or you could stay out back at Terri’s Mom’s.

She has six 50 amp hookups, full service.

There is also Bourne Scenic Park, that we have been to, and Peter’s Pond Campground where our chapter

has had rallies in the past on the Cape.

Hey Larry,

Those Air Pockets were Terrible ! And Very High winds over the Ocean. Through the Winter months on The island. The locals that live there year round , Call them the Hate Months ! On the approach to Hyannis port Runway, You could see the nose of the plane Canting left and right. Was not scared at all by this point, The young Pilot done a great job. My Son Was conceived on Nantucket a few months later. He got His Private Single engine and His instrumentation only while in college. ( Cost Me a Bundle ) . He took Me a ride a few years back , and asked if I wanted to do some Maneuvers ? Maybe a Stall ? NO THANK YOU ! ! !
