3-Way Norgren Leaking
The lower 3-Way Norgren is leaking through the valve that has the red arrow pointing to it in the second picture. It leaks pretty badly but does not seem that it is enough to overcome the coach’s air compressor. That fitting has a “P” on it – what does this fitting do?
As best as I can tell, this valve seems to be controlling the rear left side of the suspension.
I will be ordering the two 3-Way Norgren’s to then have Jeff Rowe replace them at the end of April but I am curious if the fitting with the “P” may be bad and that is one I can replace on my own. In either case, I will be replacing the two 3-Ways.

It looks like the part the arrow is pointing to is a fine mesh screen which is the outlet for air exhausted from air bags.

I just stumbled across this thread and although this is an XLV and mine an XL they are nearly identical right down to converter and year.
Looking at the lower photo, I had one leak on/at the manifold (far rh side of photo). I notice that this coach has, I presume, Prevost installed push to fit brass fittings, as DID mine. Needed to replace a leaking fitting. Now glance around a bit an it becomes apparent that the first thing one has to deal with is nearly 20 year old pipe dope that someone elected to use. I was swearing at what I thought was some idiot when it appears that Prevost was the perp. Let me say that a doped in fitting of that age is a challenge to break loose. I have a decent set of line wrenches (metric and sae) not one would grab the fitting(s). I used open end wrenches held sideways over the fitting and another wrench to turn the first, every size locking plier I own….everything. Suffice to say each fitting was a battle to remove. I was cautious because I did not want to disturb the antique rubber “O” rings inside of the neighbor fitting. Mind you while all of this is going on one needs to also restrain the Norgren component so as not to pull everything off the bulkhead. I failed to mention what a pleasure it is to start the threads of a new fitting while only being able to barely reach with your finger tips….
Bottom line, it’s a horrible job and I replaced all but two of the push on’s with compression fittings. The best way would have been to pull the whole mess out but for me it would require pulling the DDEC and Allison brain plus all manner of other odds and ends.
i know there are varying opinions on the life span of a push on fitting but no matter, if one even touches, pulls, attempts to tighten or removes one of these fittings, a new one will be required. To me I can carry a handful of Ferrell’s (don’t know the correct spelling) and a few castle nuts plus DOT legal couplings and pretty much get out of the woods.
Below is a comparison of older style push on (grab it where?) and a Parker compression fitting replacement. Note the pipe dope on the old fitting.

Flyu2there, thanks for the advice and yes they are push the push to fit on fittings. After looking at what I needed to do I decided that I am going to have Jeff Rowe replace both of the 3-Way Norgrens and the fittings and let him deal with the aggravation but since he and his crew know things I do not, he may be able to do it with out said aggravation.
Since I am full time and no shop, I need to be careful as to what I take apart. The few pneumatic changes that I have made on my own I also ran into the size issues that you described. None of the SAE or Metric wrenches would fit the fittings perfectly leaving me feeling that the size I needed was in between what I had.
Most, if not all, of the other Norgrens have been replaced so these will hopefully be the last for the next few years before the cycle starts again but I know this is just wishful thinking.

A couple of years ago found a leaky valve controlling the floor over entry steps.
Three different times they sent me new valves that all leaked! I requested a bench test of the returned leaky valves, they finally did so and reported back that the leak was within specs…
Valve still leaks.
At some point will try to find a different company with similar valves. The leak is minimal but should not be there.
