2nd Hunt – Fwd & Rear Air Tanks Empty Quickly
Suggestions of where to begin if both the forward and rear main tanks are going down at the same rate of loss over the same amount time when parked? It takes about 48 or so hours for them to go from 120 to zero.
I am going to start by checking both dash air gauge fittings, yet not sure where to go from there if they are not the cause.
I did recently check ALL fittings in the bay under the driver seat and did not find any leaks.
I checked the parking brake actuator by firmly moving it sideways and that caused it to hiss. Would that indicate it is beyond its useful life? If it is defective, would it cause both tanks to drain simultaneously? (If so, might anyone have the replacement part number?)
My coach also has a trailer brake push/pull actuator located just aft of the yellow parking brake actuator. Would it be advisable to cap that line off since I will never use it?

The park brake knob is about the only thing common to both front and rear. I would start there.

That’s where I would check. I just noticed the same thing and the DW asked what the hissing sound was. Gonna have to tear that out and replace or re-plumb.

Check the relay valve for the parking brakes. I think on your coach it is over the rear axles behind the removable fender.
I suspect that will be the problem. When the parking brakes are applied there is no pressure to them and the relay valve holds pressure from the tanks until you release the parking brake.
