It may be the campround wiring. I have had 2 campgrounds where the power pedistal was wired wrong. All indications in the coach showed correct power. But dyer and washer would not work. Unplugged the street power, run the genertor and everything worked. Moved to another power pedistal and everything worked.

I’m with Andre. The first thing I would verify is that power is getting to the coach. There are too many things not getting power to suspect a single circuit so start at the shore power outlet, and if it is present there the next thing to check is the power cord especially the plug, then the transfer switch.

Brandon put a new end on the 50 amp plug in Nashville when I picked it up. It had a crack, it rained, and burned. I’ll check that first. Leaving in the am for nashville

went out to see if the plug was hot. It seemed fine. The volts on my display are reading 122 on one leg and 119 on the other. Now that I think about it, we didn’t use the ac / range top or w/d on the way home. We put the end of the new plug on together so I believe that is right.

The “old” plug obviously overheated when water (it was raining) got in the crack and slightly melted the plug. Don’t know really what I would check on the transfer switch but I suppose I can call mr. Rv in Nashville to check it out. I do hear the regular “pop” when I plug it in so it must of be engaging.

I would try to reset the shore power circuit breaker it may have tripped, are you running the electric heaters that may have over loaded the shore power. Try running the Genny.

thanks for the replies guys…. The coach has full power so all is well. I figure when we leave Thursday I’ll fire up the genny and if the range works I guess it is the plug or shore power. If not, I’ll have the transfer switch checked. It finally got up to a balmy 8 degrees outside so working with tools isn’t going to work in knee deep snow next to the coach. As the song goes it’s toasty inside, these things are so well insulated and the aqua hot is working great.

Going to see my wife’s family today so we won’t be at the coach. Leaving early in the a.m.

Andre, you where right. We are in Kentucky now, fired up the generator and everything worked. I called the campground to let him know and he said he has been having issues with the power. Would have been nice if he said something before.

We woke up to an additional 5 inches if snow this morning but the coach had no problem getting out. I will NEVER be in Michigan again past thanksgiving. I left with over 30″ of snow on the ground. Next mission is to get the coach clean. See you all in Florida. Again, it was so nice of everyone to come to our aid on Christmas Day.

We left Michigan 5 years ago on November 1st OK. but returned on the first week of April and guess what 4 Inches of snow met us just south of Toledo OH. From that date on I made it a point never to come back to Michigan before May and never to stay pass mid October.
