20/30 amp adapter to 50 amp
Signed up for a County campground in Wisconsin. Website said they have 50 amps. Upon further review they only offer a pedestal with 20 amp and an additional 30 amp, I think that’s how the got to 50 amp. I can buy a jumper that has ends for 20 amp and 30 amp that has the 50 amp that the coach plugs into. A sparky commented that I won’t get the watts I will need with this set up. Any thoughts?

If this were plumbing, that might work!
You’ll get 50amps of 120vokts or 6,000 watts.
True 50amps RV is 50amps of 240volts or 12,000 watts.
You might be able to make it work, but you’ll probably have to load balance and dial down your inverters.

Run the generator or watch your loads like a hawk because with inverters, water pump, HW tank, aux compressor and phantom loads you are already pushing it. Add in an A/C or two and power will trip.

Thanks for the information. Think I will find another campground. The other issue is the bridge at the entrance is rated at 25 tons. Will be putting the coach on a scale to confirm the weight soon. I don’t want to go for a swim.

You can’t use the jumper setup on a circuit that has a GFCIbreaker as the 20 amp plug likely does. The breaker will trip right away and you will not have accomplished anything. If you can access 2 30 amp plugs then you could use one of the adapters but you would still be limited to 30 amps on each leg.
If it’s going to be hot, I would recommend finding a campground with actual 50 amp service.

We are currently at a friends house for the 4th. I have plugged into two 20 Amp plugs he has in his garage (each on its own breaker). I have a 50 to two 30 Amp splitter and two 30 to 20 Amp plugs.
I am able to run one cruise air unit at a time. Aux air compressor is off, electric water heater is off, have to be careful about use of water pump (adds a momentary 8-10 amp load). Inverters kick in with the load assist and keeps the breakers from blowing when water pump comes on, BUT that takes a load on the battery’s that requires charger to replace, in turn adding Amps to your load.
It can be done but it’s a balancing act. These buses are power pigs.
