the post the coil sits on shows a red top on it. The post is threaded. Should that be plugged. That part of my system is missing.?? When selonoid releases air excapes thru them? Bob

Bob,
I assume you are talking about the solenoid valves on the manifold that operate the suspension system. The post on the valve itself has a red “cap”. When the solenoid coil is not energized thus closing the valve, the pressure from the solenoid valve to the norgren spool valve (3 or 5 port) is exhausted so the spool valve can return to its normal position.

Yes that red cap. Is it necessary to be there or just a dust proctector air can flow thru. Mine are all missing. I know this may be a dumb question. But I intend to understand this system totaly! My goal!. The stem is threaded internaly. Thanks Bob

I don’t know the purpose of the cap. Prevost? Is it a bad thing for the cap to be off?
