  • 1979 Prevost coach wrecked

Posted by Randy on February 9, 2022 at 7:09 pm

I have a 79 coach bus that has been wrecked on the front passenger side. I am trying to repair it myself(but not sure I can do it). I am needing parts. Items neede windshield, front bumper, sheet metal entrance door, for the most part. Really could use some help locating what I need. Anyone out there know where about that nugget is setting. I really need to know how many year model bus parts will fit my baby. Please contact r graham with any info. I could use to repair my coach. Thanks

Used parts for a Prevost that far back, you might have better luck asking around on the Bus Conversion Magazine site, as they have a forum also. Vintage Bus Mechanics forum on Facebook is another place to ask around. Some of the questions I would start asking is what years were the same body style as yours, this might widen your search window for Parts. Have you tried IBP or Prevost for new parts? When you say passenger, does that mean you need a door and stepwell also?

Remember, this is probably a 96″ wide coach.

10 years ago, a dump truck backed into the passenger side mirror mount and sprung the door on my 1983. After lots of discussion s with US-based facilities, the reco was to take it to Prevost in Montreal.

it was an extremely complex operation but the did a great job. Rather than wait over a year for new stainless parts, they did some amazing panel-beating. You could never tell and it saved money.

Yes it is, Prevost started the 102″ wide in 1983
