Never said that.
With the Michelin tire discount program the prices are more competitive and since the offshore tire prices have been creeping upward it is doubtful I will be buying other than Michelin.
The Chinese tires (Double Coin, what a dumb name) were actually very good. I believe I had them on the coach for 4 or 5 years prior to selling the coach and they rode smooth and quiet the whole time. Previous tires seemed to develop a harsher ride and create more noise but those did not seem to as they aged.

I previously owned an AMF Harley Superglide. Yes that was back in the ’70’s. When I reached the point of being uncomfortable about the original tires, I went to a shop to get a new set. The shop owner looked at the tires, then looked at me and said I had another season’s use left on the originals. My response was He might have another season’s use left in them but not me. New ones installed, old ones left at the shop. That season was mighty peaceful knowing I had full depth rubber beneath me.
I guess the moral of that story is that if you the owner/operator don’t feel confident in the tires you have on then its best to change them out before rolling any further down the road.
As for I-95, well it’s possible that you missed some roadside debris and ran over it. May not have been an immediate loss of air pressure but with time a small leak will result in loss of air pressure down to levels a catastrophic failure is probable.
