    12.7 Detroit horsepower

    How do you determine actual HP of a 12.7 Detroit.

    Have seen reference to 450, 475, 485 and even 500 in ads.

    Most in that year model were 470 hp

    There should be three stickers on the passenger side of the valve cover. One of them will have the information you want along with other info. I have a 1999 Wanderlodge with the Series 60 Detroit. Hoping to move up next spring.
