When I bought this coach the power line from the charger was not connected to the ships batterys. The line was in the battery area but not connected. I connected it to the termenal that appeared to be for that use. That draid the ships batterys to “0”.
I then charged them up with a charger and then set then up to a seperate trickle charger. There are two switchs in the engine room that I was told to only turn them on to start and run the engine other wise there are to be off.
After the charger fail and the batteris were dead, when I ran the engine for 20 mins the altenators ,12 v and 24 v units, put a charge in the ships batteries for a few mins, but then died. What I am looking for now is a recommendation for a modern charger/minder. I would need to take my coach to a Prevost coach shop that can fix the engine charging system. In my area that would have to be a moble mechanic. I have had one that told me he was qualified, but was not. I have very few manuales for my coach. The ones I do have I was able to print form “on line”. There are a few diagrams on the engine doors, but are difficult to read.
