I’ve got a 2002 Prevost XLII. Started right up this morning without any problem. Shut it off after running the engine for 2-3 minutes. Went to start it a couple hours later and there was no power to the dash at all. Turned the ignition key and nothing. I checked to make sure I didn’t kill the 12-volt system with one of the kill switches. 12-volt system was on. I called for roadside service because I thought I might have dead batteries. Roadside service attached jumper cables but still no power to dash or ignition. Amps reading 14-17 on gauges. Roadside assistance says that is enough amps to start coach, and he didn’t think it was battery related. Luckily the coach is in my driveway, but we were hoping to leave on a trip Tuesday. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

      • You nee 24V to start. I assume where you say you have 14-17 amps you mean 14-17 volts (why a range?). The starting batteries need to be reading 24-28V and the chassis side (and ECM) need to be at least 12V.

        • Does it start from the rear?

          • On my H in the rear electrical/Battery bay there is a toggle switch (in addition to the dash mount switch) which engages that 300Amp battery power relay. If that is the same on yours I would flip that small toggle switch to hear if the main battery power relay trips, which is loud when it engages. If you do not hear that relay engaging, then that would be the culprit. I had one quit on me without any warning.
