Made the plunge and my wife and I bought a 1997 XL. It is getting all services and a list of things performed at Prevost right now. She is ready to quit the business and go full time. I am trying to reign her back. Don’t think I am ready but who knows. One day at a time.
Next week we will bring it home and replace carpet with wood or LVT and reupholster chairs and sofas. Maybe change the table and chair to something else.
Lots to learn and I have not even begun to go thru the house systems. I thing most everything works, but we shall see. I have had many boats before so I think I am ready for this, but my learning cap is somewhere around here.
BTW, I did computer software for 25 years, and then before that I was a field service engineer on MRI’s and CatScans for 17 years. Before that was 8 years as a data system technician in the Navy, so I am fully qualified to be dangerous!
I actually got in trouble as a kid for taking apart a brand new bicycle. Dad was not real handy with tools and came home to a stack of parts. After I put it back together, he made me go to the bike shop with him to be sure it was done right. For the most part it was.
I have read many posts in the forum and I am sure that I will have plenty of questions as I move thru this project.

Welcome to the insanity. In addition to making sure you pay your dues, it is customary for recent members to provide Tom and I with small gifts such as a Rolex.
You will enjoy your coach. Nice looking and probably the most reliable and economical of all Prevost coaches to own with the bullet proof chassis and the economical and reliable 12.7L Series 60.

Hi Ken and welcome aboard. Frankly you seem way to smart for this group! And don’t be taken in by Jon and Tom’s kind words. First of all there is no flexibility on dues. I got into financial trouble awhile ago because of medical situations, death in family, decline in stock market and cyber theft. I asked Jon for two months of paying my dues 10 days late. Nothing about not paying, just paying 10 days late! I’ll never forget Jon’s email or his kind words. It frankly still brings tears to my eyes for his humanity when he said “Bite Me”!
As for Tom, I did get him that Rolex spoken of earlier. It was all on the QT promising Jon would never hear about it. And just like the other poster, all I wanted was to buy batteries at retail. Now every 5 days I’ve got to go down and wind the thing for him. And the same day I gave the watch to Tom I get an email from Jon saying “Hey Harry, what time is it”!
I best not say more… My bus was impounded before I finished this post!

I already knew about the dues and paid them. I was just now shopping for the Rolex’s, but not sure what size they would want.
I also found out that at mcdonalds, I can get a dollar coffee for just a dollar if I can prove my membership, so I am glad I did.
Looking forward to this.

Don’t know what part of the country you’re in but if in or near enough to Florida check out the Tradewinds gathering later this month. Promises of sharing all things Prevost got me so ready I showed up a month early. No kiddin ask Scott & Kyle they’ll tell ya. i decided to leave the new to me coach there & come home all the way to SC with my tail between my legs sulking like I just missed a birthday party or something. Why did I leave it? I knew I was coming back. Do you know how much diesel is & at 3 miles to the gal who can blame me. I hear tell that if you attend your dues here will only be triple the norm too. After all this I hope you don’t say well I’d love to be there but we’re in Oregon or some place far far away. Welcome aboard!

Welcome Ken. This is a helpful site for sure. Any problems or questions with coach , post um and somebody more than likely, has had the same problem.
