365’s ??
Been trying to find 4 365’s for over a month now… the guys I am working with indicate that they are still back ordered. He was going to have 4 late 2016 sent in from another location but someone got one of them so they only had 3.

Bill, we are being fed a line of shit by someone. I just changed tires this summer and I ended up with 4 365 tires with 2016 date codes and if Jeff had not been vigilant they would have tried to sell 2015 date codes.
That tells me someone is trying to eat through a mountain of inventory so somewhere in the Michelin distribution system there has to be 365 tires.
Remember the dates are about the time some of our members were forced to wait for tires because none we available which was a lie. None were available to us as customers. I will pass your troubles along to the local Michelin distributor rep. If he responds I will post it. We brought it up at the seminar since he was a presenter and we did not cut him any slack.

This 365 availiablity crap makes me wonder if it wouldn’t be better to go back to 315’s on the front of my rig!!

There are so many reasons to stick with 315 tires if that is how the coach was built originally I often wonder why so many folks made the change.
The greatest reason given is “smoother ride” as a result of lower pressure needed for 365 tires. My seat of the pants is not sophisticated enough to evaluate if that is true, but I know for certain the 365 tires are loud and they make a lot of noise compared to 315 tires when going over expansion joints and similar surface irregularities.

Greater rolling resistance = lower mpg. Greater patch = more stress/wear on steering components. Wider tires = more road noise all the time. Cost and availability. Propensity for uneven wear. It looks cool though.

OK, here is the latest on tires……315 pretty much not available as they have changed the model of tire and are behind in getting them out…I have 24 on order now for 3 weeks, 365 not available either….I have talked for several hours to anyone that will listen and same results….
They set their production schedule every 4 weeks and there are none in the production schedule…how a company like that can not have inventory anywhere and not even have them scheduled in production is beyond me….
Worse is you can not talk to anyone who can answer any questions about when they might be in production…INSANITY….
Then next year they will try to sell me 2016 date code tires….Not happening..

Is this on the Michelin’s?? Might have to go elsewhere if needed in a pinch. Will put Bridgestones 16 ply on mine again as they have been a good set. Fixing to have to replace mine as they are getting close to 6 years old. Still look new but that age deal is a killer.

Bill try St. Lucey Batteries and Tires they always have 365’s on hand with the latest date codes. They are located 20 miles north of Stuart FL. Good luck.

TCI is the only distributor for Michelin, and there are none showing up any where in the US on their system….Now Michelin might have some in their private inventory that goes direct to Production like Prevost, and Newell etc….No one that I know of or have been able to talk with has any access to those numbers…Just got a call and they are now scheduled for production in 3 weeks, however with the shortage out there it is hard to tell when each dealer will see them…

I have been in communication with Steve Smith who is likely who Jeff is talking to. His last email says there are none in the country, and production is not scheduled until Nov. 26.
I would strongly urge anyone that is even thinking of replacing their tires to call the following number and express both your need and frustration. Oily wheels get the grease and you can bet the farm if you have an on road failure of a 365 you are SCREWED. This is serious and maybe if enough of you call the number below Michelin might get the hint.
We all know Greyhound is running 365 tires on their X models. Does anyone here really believe there are no tires available?

Cmon Guys……….this is the time to flex the Prevost Community muscles. We are well past 3200 members and if we bury Michelin with phone calls they will get the message loud and clear.
The time to worry about the lack of 365 tires is not when you are on the side of the road and you want replacements when your tires age out. Now is the time to call Michelin.

I just sent you an email…. Tried to call the number but I think that is for dealers only… I couldn’t get past the enter your store number.
I fired off an email to the two highest folks I have contacts in at Prevost as well as a call into Marathon.
I’m with you I don’t want to be stuck on the side of the road looking for a tire that doesn’t exist… Beyond Stupid…
