New bus.
New to us 2000 Marathon non slide H with OTR A/C plus 4 cruise airs. This bus was taken in on a new H Marathon Completely redone bumper to bumper by their service dept. As a Marathon trade (they own) it’s sold to me with 6 month warranty. We added the bedroom and salon upgrades. We have given new life to a slightly tired 140 K mile bus. Used but not abused overall in very good condition. Galley floor is original solid plank mahogany as reason for granite salon floor upgrade.
Some of the
8 new tires 365’s on steer up-grade including tags. 11 new batteries, 2 new water heaters, new main water pump plus 12 volt back up added, new engine radiator, new SAT, new flat screens, salon and bedroom, removed Howard steering assist, new AUX air compressor pump, new fan clutch, minor body and paint work, added SAT radio system with in dash radio containing SAT XM option rather then small dash box, serviced all A/C systems, new 50 D 270 amp alternator.

Firstly Big Al, (or is it Darth now according to Tom?) let me repeat what others have said and that is what a great find you have. Looks like your patience, and hard work no doubt have paid off.
I have a question though, and please feel free to tell me to take a hike (or just ignore me) but can I ask if the service type work, batts, tires, water pump & AC etc. we’re included in the asking price or even less than that?
The reason I ask is that my preferred choice of sourcing a bus when the time comes will be from a convertor and is likely to ned a few things refreshing because of age or wear & tear and I’m just trying to get a handle on the sort of deal that is possible. I have no interest in trying to drive someone into the ground as good service does cost money, but knowing how the land lies potentially can’t do any harm.
Interested to hear from others and tour experiences as well.

Andy, if you are dealing with a converter or one of the professional dealers negotiating for changes such as Al has outlined are all part of the process. You are not driving the seller into the ground, but you are asking for some items that have a price tag attached so you can negotiate the best price and then go up from there with your required changes, or start at the asking price and add in your wish list items while trying to get the price down.
Nobody gives stuff away, and the professionals selling coaches understand different folks have different needs so it is not unusual to make those needs part of the negotiating process.

Congrats on coach 591. Of the four Prevosts we’ve owned, our former coach, H3-45 #586, was our favorite The H has a smoooother ride than our others, greater “rake” on the front and tapered sides for slicing thru the air , although we love our current one with non-IFS. 591 hits all of our buttons, an H, OTR, hard surface flooring, cruise airs, side mounted Girard/Brewster awning, more.

Well, Mr. Bernie the CB was a conversation with the service dept. First we have an older bus that was built when CB was in its prime, big box, big antenna, and wires everywhere.
When we talked salon upgrade seeing the CB had been attached to the wall next to your left leg. It was actually in the way slightly. I wanted to move to the other side of the drivers seat. The antenna was attached to the window frame on the drivers side extending about 2 feet up side of bus and then 2 feet above the roof. Over time the mounting screws had come loose and been enlarged to hold securely. That’s the way it was done back in 2000, big radio, big antenna.
Marathon says new buses don’t have CB’s installed unless owner request. We rarely used ours so out it came and it was probably the hugh original, did the body repair and paint on the window frame.
