Under coach led lights
Has any body got or has any body installed under coach led lights , I want to install blue led under coach lighting all around coach under body to light it up at night when parked or driving any thoughts???????

Peter Should be an easy install. Ihave neon lights installed by Liberty when the coach was built.

I installed some under my 97 and helped Roger install his under his 97. They were rope lights, his red, mine green and installaton took some time.
Under the coach beneath the bay doors is an angle that is covered with the sound deadening foam. I have to carve out a path in that foam between the wheel wells. I had to clean the surface of the angle to bond the channels that held the rope lighting in place. I used double faced tape to adhere the channels to the angle, and once the rope was installed I used a lot of RTV to not only securely bond the rope to the channels, but to further adhere the channels to the angle frame of the coach.
The rope was 100 feet in length so I started at the point I intended to feed the end up to a power supply and just made a continuous loop around the coach. In areas outside of the wheel wells I ran the rope around various cross members and held it in place with a lot of nylon ties. I went up and over the wheel wells by using loops held in place by the nuts and bolts holding the fenders in place.
You just have to be creative and determine where and how you want to run the lighting. The power supply had multiple positions. It had settings for flashing the lights and you could adjust the frequency. It has the ability to sense music from the radio I located next to the power supply and the lights would flash in time with the beat of the music, or it would allow the lights to remain on steady.
The Liberty set up for undercoach lighting is much better. The lights are enclosed in a clear hard plastic tube. They are secured using screws to attach clamps or loops to the frame of the coach so they are mechanically in place instead of bonded. The lighting Liberty uses was brighter than the rope lighting I chose and it can be on continuously or it will also respond in time to the beat of the music. The key is for you to determine to what extent you want to go for the lighting.
I think I spent a week of spare time doing the installation.

Here is a photo of the rope lighting under my 97 coach. Not a very elegant way to light the belly of an Elegant Lady, but they worked, never came loose and were fun to play with, especially when Roger and I were side by side, each tuned to the same radio station, with both coaches blinking their lights together even though they weren’t hooked together. All us Liberty guys with underside lighting should line up at a rally and tune to the same radio station and let them blink together. Then those Marathon guys would be kneeling down for us. (Al, you didn’t think I wasn’t going to respond did you?)

Thanks Jon I really don’t need it to blink intime with the music just light up when parked but the might look cool

The controller was cheap so dancing with music was a fun thing to do.
When you are in a campground those lights are impressive at night. I wouldn’t use them when in a rest area, Walmart or truck stop. Those are places you do not want any attention.

I was thinking about installing LED lights as well and
would like to think that I could tie it in electrically to my Cap light. Would
that be possible? Does anyone have a source for good lighting?If Liberty owners truly feel that they need blinking
lights to outdo us Marathon owners, then go for it. What’s next, spinners? -

You mean I can get spinners for my coach? I was thinking of swapping out those 22.5 tires that look like balloons for 30″ wheels with low profile tires and then modifying the level low system to get the coach to bounce up and down.
Do you Marathon guys really own coaches that don’t have underside lighting? Really?
