  • Help! Dash Light Dimmer Part

Posted by Liam on April 3, 2014 at 12:59 pm

Need help. My bus was manufactured in June 1991 and finished in 1992 by CC.

This dashboard rheostat sits in a box built by CC that houses the wheels-up, pull-to-park and this switch. The switch has part number 2173333 stamped on it but that is not a Prevost part.

3 red wires and one white wire attach to this switch. You pull it up to turn-on the dash lights and rotate to dim. Would love help finding a replacement part or at least a wiring diagram so I can retrofit something.

    Wires 24, 24F & 24G + one white wire connect to it.

    Thanks!

Is it 12v or 24v? if 12v a Ford Pickup light switch from the 1970’s and 80’s.

My bus as build the same time as yours, what is your vin# mine is M1838?

Received a PM from Gil with the link below. The part looks identical to my switch so I ordered one today. I did confirm CC installed these and not Prevost. Can’t wait to see the actual circuit diagram if it comes with one. Thanks for the help. My VIN is M1001912 and I am CC #60160

    Liam,

I was told the switch in my 1990/1991 was from that years Buick headlight switch. Don’t know which model Buick.
