Wilton,
The procedure is not complex. A good utility knife to cut the Sikaflex, both around the preimeter on the outside, and around the perimeter parallel to the glass on the inside.
Extreme care has to be taken to prevent the paint from chipping.
Once the seal is broken and the old glass removed, the entire area around the window has to be scraped clean.
When the new glass is ready to install apply a bead of Sikaflex around the perimeter of the surface that is behind and parallel to the glass. Set the glass in place. Then fill the gap between the glass and the bus window frame from the outside. Masking tape is used to protect the paint and glass and minimize the mess. Smooth the bead around the glass.
When using Sikaflex it works best when it is warm.
If this is not correct or if there is more to the procedure I hope our resident professionals will correct my procedure.
