Air line
Is the line depicted in the attached photo the air line used for supplementary brakes? It is located rear right below the engine compartment door. I would like to install a brakemaster system for my Honda Accord and just want to be sure where the air line is on my coach. (Sorry the picture is looking downward towards the snow)

That looks like the macerator hose hookup, passanger side rear corner….

If you do find an air line installed for supplemental brakes it will be very near the electric cable receptacle and it is highly likely it will be a fitting on the end of a small diameter black nylon tube such as a 1/4 or 3/8 size.
The fitting in the photo is what Jeff says it is.

We are still trying to find that Prevost owner that not only knew everything when he bought his first Prevost, we are trying to find any owner that knows everything.
The longer I own coaches the more I realize how little my knowledge of the whole coach is. All any of us can hope to do is learn something just before we needed to know it.

Huh. For some reason, I thought that hose bib was the hookup for washing the toad or a neighboring coach in a camp ground.

Try it as a car washing connection Dick. It certainly has water and probably a little soap so it almost sounds perfect for keeping the toad looking good.

Hugh, You read the posts on here. You have to admit we cannot make some of this stuff up. Quite a few years ago we had someone question how to get their macerator pump to work. One individual suggested it lost its prime and to re-prime it that person had to suck on the tube shown in the picture at the top.
I think most folks saw the humor. But there are times when I wonder if we don’t cross the line with our joking.
Nah………we don’t.

In all seriousness, its appropriate to debunk a cruel disgusting rumor that persists about Prevost motorhomes, entertainer coaches, and seated coaches equiped with toilets, holding tanks, and macerators.
There are nagging, persistent stories that drivers of the above three types of Prevost coaches have been known to drive very slowly down deserted, narrow country roads in desolate areas of our country while using the macerator to empty the holding tank into the ditch. There is no credible evidence whatsoever that this has ever happened. These unfounded rumors have been traced back to very late night campfire Prevost owner bashing in the sticks & staples corner of some RV parks where its believed considerable amounts of alcohol had been consumed.
That said, there is a single documented case of an entertainer coach (chassis manufacturer unknown) having an ill-timed malfunction of the holding tank dump valve while crossing the Kinzie Street Bridge over the Chicago River just as the Chicago River architecture tour boat passed under the bridge.
