I have known John since he started somewhere in 1996 or 1997 ,I have had a interior done by him , had it for ten years not one problem with it, I have toured the new emerald and have been to Johns place every year and they are the best .

I hope the coach is a huge success. At the price point, it should bring folks from the upper plastic side to a Prevost.
In looking at the specs, I didn’t see how the driver area was going to be cooled. It has 4 roof airs, big inverters, 2 house alternators and four 8D Lifelines, but no mention of dash air.
Any thoughts….

Tom, you are correct with the price point reference. The target is the high end plastic buyer who would like a new Prevost.
Emerald felt the mid range MSRP price would attract more buyers to Prevost. With the big 3 in the $2M new range buyers were shut out of Prevost. Thus waiting for Prevost on the resale market.
As Prevost strives to stay in business producing shells, they support this concept. The hot button IMHO will be the creature comforts with a quality built conversion, less complicated systems.
One of the first things I noticed was pocket doors were all manual lock in place.
Another big plus available is LED lighting requiring less amps in many areas, less demand on roof A/C.
A/C units are standard 4. 1 @ 15K and 3 @ 13K BTU. I believe the cost diff on A/C was $600 upgrade each on 15 K A/C unit. Another cost saving.

I had the opurtunity to go through one the other day. I know they are refining a few things currently on coaches in production. Very well put together coach and I feel will be a major player in the conversion market within a short period of time. Very quite inside driving with no squeaks etc….
With the dealers chosen by emerald coach I think they will sell them “like hot cakes “

we have had air driven pocket doors-air valves need attention. We have had coach house computers-needed to reboot, or shutdown whole when light switches did what they wanted to do
We had to go back to a much older coach to get manual operated stuff like pocket doors and hard wiring with switches and relays. When one quits. It a trip to ww grainger. We are for simplicity. Will the Emerald Coach still in Indio in a week and a half from now?
