Marathon conversions #599 and #671
Has any of my fellow Prevost shoppers had a chance to check out these two coaches, or does anyone have any knowledge of them?
#599 is located at Marathon in Oregon, and #671 is located at Olympia coaches in La Vergne, Tennessee.
Looks like we have a buyer for our coach, so we are getting closer to buying our Prevost!

I was just at Marathon in Oregon but did not notice coach 599. Call Rick Mount at Marathon (541) 953 0793 for questions. Rick is a straight shooter and has been selling Marathons for 20+ years.

Why no ones made a move on 722 is a surprise. If you can swing it Per what you are getting in 722 compared to 599 is day and night.

We looked at 722, but we prefer no slides, and the two-seat dining arrangement doesn’t work for us. Also we are not too crazy about the grey interior, and then the coach is a bit higher priced than we would prefer.

Steve Bennett has had Marathon 721, an ’01 Marathon XLII no slide -
No-slide newer Prevosts are disappearing like hotcakes. Saw a really nice 03 XLII in Florida, and the price was reasonable, but it was sold within weeks. Sometimes it makes you wonder why some coaches don’t move, but then again, with some of the coaches we’ve seen I guess it is understandable.
We shook hands with the buyer, but we had mentioned to them we had reservations in Vegas for Thanksgiving, so we get one last trip. Once the coach is sold we’ll be in the hunt! -
I may have said this before, but if I did not have or want a slide I would never consider an XLII, but would only consider an XL or an H3. There is zero benefit to an XLII non slide over a comparable XL.

I would tell you that #722 looks like a great deal. We have #782 and have owned it since 2007. I’d be happy to talk to you about it.

I looked through the pics of both coaches and that would be a very difficult choice as both are beautiful!
Apparently in 2001, they switched to the two windshields vs. the 4 on the 2000. So, maybe the 2001 may look a little newer but from the coloring and layout, they are both nice units.

As a newbie to this search for the perfect bus; what is reference to the #’s ie:599 and 671 and 722?

Coach numbers. Each converter number’s the coaches as they convert them. Our is Liberty #405. So rather than refering to my coach as “that 24 volt 1999 Liberty XLV that was originally Dean Sander’s” … it easier to refer to them by their number. The converter coach number doesn’t indicate anything about the conversion (at least I don’t think it does), its just the number where a coach was in the line of production.

We have 2 Non-Slide Marathon XLII’s available. Both are western, garage kept coaches. Coach #’s 721 & 788.

Just for reference…my 2000 Marathon is # 652.
Another issue you may run into is that many conversions, in fact motorhomes in general, may very well built on a chassis year model different than the motorhome year model indicates.
For instance, my coach is titled a 2000 Marathon..it is built on a 1999 chassis.
Some states require it be titled by the year of the chassis, but most don’t. (including NC)

My 2002 H is 732 and 4 windshields, 2001 chassis.

Do you know when they changed to the ‘two’ windshield front-ends?
I guess it doesn’t really matter if the coach is clean, good floor-plan and a nice color scheme.
