  • Wood Flooring Update

Posted by Archived on February 17, 2014 at 9:01 am

Just got our bus back from Signature Coachworks, and we can’t stop talking about how amazing the flooring looks. We chose a 3/4″ solid cherry wood installed from front (under driver’s pedals) to the back at a 45 degree angle. Even the flooring under the dinette was replaced. We were nervous about how we’d like it all the way up under even the driver’s seat, but they did a wonderful job. I’ll post the pics in a slide show (I think — I followed the YouTube directions but I’m not sure it’s working!), but you can also visit Signature’s website at http://www.signaturecoachworks.com to see them with captions and the before pictures. I put our flooring pics under the Photo Gallery tab, and they’re on the bottom right. The difference in before and after is striking. We can’t say enough about the quality of the work provided to us!

Looks awesome John. Was gonna ask what it cost but if you’re driving one of the new ones I guess it’s redundant. LOL.

That is a beautiful job,, the wood accents at the edges looks stunning. Did they glue the boards or nail ???

The boards were tongue & groove and were glued in. They purchased additional wood and stained it to match for all of the bull nose in the front and along the dinette. I’m not sure you can see from the pictures, but they flooring under the dinette is exactly lined up to the rest of the flooring when the slide is out. I’m (Cathy) a math and science teacher, but I don’t even want to consider the geometry involved with that! 🙂

Flooring looks great. I like the 45 degree angle on it.

Outstanding job! It looks really good and I like the lighter color. The curved bull noses show some real craftsmanship; they aren’t easy.

I’d like to take credit for thinking of the 45 degree angle, but that was all Roger Beauchemin’s (Signature Coachworks) idea. If you look at his website (http://www.signaturecoachworks.com), you’ll see another floor he put in an H3 with that bullnose. They do a fantastic job of it.
