I was able to get in touch with Ray today and as soon as the weather clears (hopefully by Spring!) he’s going to load up his truck with the necessary hardware and stop by. It appears we are pretty close to that’s a nice side benefit!
Thanks again to all who helped me out! (You know, the thing Prevost would not do!).

So do I understand that Houston – Prevost does not have a service van that can jack up a Prevost and in addition, they have not offered any sort of help ?
-
I don’t know what Prevost does or does not have. I only know that when I told the gal in service that I was stuck in a place I could not get out of and could not get a tow, she offered to setup an appoint for a few days later to allow the air bag to arrive. I got a call back an hour or so later saying Prevost did not have the kind of equipment necessary to do an air bag replacement off site. She said she was sorry and that was that.
-
Wow. That’s not a good thing. Can’t believe she didn’t allow you to talk with the manager or did she and they dished you. Sounds like she, with no authority, let it die right there. Not good on prevost Houston’s part for sure. Left you hanging.

Would you share last letter in your serial Number. Might lead to rest of story. Example Mine is W-102 6553. I use W when ask for year 102 just refers to width 6553= unit number. Bob

Wow im lost. Emergency breakdown urgent help repair scheduled for spring. Is Ray actually Jay? ( You can call him Ray or you can call him Jay but you doesnt have to call him Johnson).
Im hoping your not still stuck to the side of that building.

Jeff,
You have officially crossed into MPD (Mad Prevost Disease) territory if you are posting at 2:30 in the morning. I was guessing Ray was Jay. Hopefully Bill will provide an update. I am going to give Jay a call this morning to see if he was able to get to him yet.
-
Oops! Yes, Jay, not Ray. Hoping for the rains to stay away so he can get in here and get us fixed up.

I spoke to Jay today. He is trying to get to Bill this Saturday (the first day it will not be raining in Houston after he freed up).

Loc,
Yea im in pretty deep. My late mother once said “i have no use for Spacebook or Myface”. Lol.I am not on Facebook, Twitter etc. either so this is my only link to the outside world.
Thanks for the update. Sounds like hes out of the woods.
-
I am not out of the woods, but I am hopeful that the info here is accurate as, apparently, you know more about his plans than I do! We hope to hear from him with some kind of a plan soon.
-
So, Jay Morales came by today. Still called him Ray a couple of times but caught myself all but the first time!
I have to say that you guys have been great and I NOW completely understand how and why this forum is called Prevost COMMUNITY!
Not only did I not have to have the bus put on the hook but I was able to have an amazing level of service performed by a super nice and highly experienced guy at a incredibly reasonable price.
I can’t thank you all enough as my coach is now, once again, road worthy and I didn’t have to have it towed or throw myself to the mercy of some road warrior road service.
Now, please head to the post I am about to make in a new topic. I want to apologize to this great COMMUNITY for past indiscretions and hope that you will all keep in mind the old saying, “He who is without sin should cast the first stone.
No matter what happens beyond my confession, I want to thank everyone here who had a part in getting my Prevost serviced and for getting me in touch with such a great guy as Jay!
-
Bill,
I am glad it all worked out. Jay is a great resource in the Houston area.
-
Well, it worked out for a minute!
We left Houston on Sunday and today we arrived in Colorado Springs, CO. The trip was great without issue until we pulled into the storage lot where we are working. Pretty much the same scenario as the roads are all sloped to the center. This time we were backing up and the right front air bag dropped substantially and as we straightened out we heard the air blowing from the bag.
Attached is a picture of the brand new bag and the damage. It’s nearly the same location as the other. There is also a picture of a rub spot on the chassis where the air bag goes. That part of the chassis is at least 4-6 inches away from the air bag when everything is inflated properly. Is there any way for the chassis and air bag to come in contact when on a slope and why would the air bag drop far enough to cause a pinch (if that’s what’s happening). We have been in much worse tilted positions with nothing even similar to this problem. The bag “was” brand new so this make no sense to me.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. By the way, if anyone talks to Jay, be sure to tell him thanks but I have one more service call for him!

Thought: Intuitively it would seem that the axle would need to be shifting laterally relative to the chassis, which may only happen on a sloped surface. Bushings?
