Great link! Certainly the best of the best if your fridge is laid out that way.

Our Sub Zero fridge has Vitricore on the doors. The plastic catches inside work fine IF the fridge door is empty and the freezer drawers are nearly empty. I am a country preacher and I still get paid in chicken sometimes and we often travel with both freezer drawers full.

I think those stainless latches would work on our unit as long as there is no wiring along the edge of the doors. I would hate to ruin something. This fridge is amazingly old and I do not want to replace it because of my stupidity.

The latch would mount where the red lines are in the pictures.

My other concern is if the strike plate would fit in the gap. What do you think?

    DKO,

The clearance looks tight. I have this latch coming in from Amazon this week. I’ll mic it and let you know how thick it is.

Agree on your not wanting to drill/screw into something so my plan is to use double-sided Gorilla Tape to install.

Jeff put double Southco latches on mine in 2016 and they are still doing great. Doors are loaded heavy and the top drawer stays full of can drinks and a couple heavy bottles. Freezer is stocked. Never had any problem. My Grandson opened it last week and asked Me why it was so hard to open. We have one just like it in the house just a larger model of course.

    Rocky,

Do you have an up close picture of the latch? Where can they be purchased?

    Ron,

They are the same latches used on drawers and cabinets in all the coach’s. Amazon has them, they come in different pound strength variations. You will have to ask Jeff which ones are best for the Refridgerator.

Rocky thanks for posting that latch! Those are exactly what I needed to replace to keep bed down. Just ordered from Amazon.

Corinthian leather latch (with velcro) for the upper doors.

Lower drawer latch hand made from nonatainium by me.
