Looks like you’re having a good time, wish we could have been there.

Tom, too bad you’re not here, until Larry showed up we were a no-slide rally. Matter of fact, we all had to have a quorum when he showed on whether he could open his slides.(-:

I wish we were there, but we’d have ordered the new catamaran! Hopefully we can catch the next eclipse with you all after we have sailed 4 or 5 of the 7 seas and return to bus-land.

We hated to miss it too !!
Y’all be safe and have fun.

Looks like a fun time for all!
I know the weather must be better than here in the steamy rainy south.

Enjoy Guys!
We are in Sisters, OR doing a build, but have an Elcipse party ourselves with the Habitat folks since we’re within that 70 mile band for the total eclipse.
Cheers!

We had some requests for Margrit’s potato salad recipie, so I thought we’d post it here for those interested:
Margrit’s German

mushy)Peel, slice
or dice potatoes½ pound slab bacon, diced and browned
Add tablespoon bacon drippings to potatoes
½ cup finely chopped onions
10 oz (1 jar) Heinz sweet relish
2 teaspoons German mustard (Lövensenf)

not drink straight)Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all well and refrigerate minimum two hours

Tried posting some pictures from Driggs. Not successful, so posted them on the Prevost Community Facebook page. Perhaps Tom can transfer them over.

perfect place to see the next one in 2024 is Niagra Falls.

Those are great photos!
We drove to St Louis to see the eclipse and drive the toad south of Festus, MO to see totality.
It was a good time, can’t wait for the next one!!!
We took some pics with our phones that turned out, but not near as good as yours. -
Rally sounded like a blast, but we also had a great view at our party in Sisters, OR …

Karen & I had a fantastic time, met some new folks and renewed contacts with some we hadn’t seen for awhile.
We just wanted to take a minute to reflect on the week-end a bit…A huge Thank You to Jim & Chris for all the work they put in to make this happen. Great location and a great job Guys!! And a big Thanks to Jon & Tom for providing the super good chicken dinner with all the trimmings on Friday evening…and for providing all of us with a place like PC to virtually “hang out”, continue our bus education, and make new friends. Thanks also to Doug & Jan for the superb wine tasting on Sat., and to Judy & Dan for the fantastic breakfast spread they put on this morning. A special thanks to Dr. Dave for the opportunity to observe Jupiter, Saturn, and some actual sun spots thru his telescope and very high powered binoculars, as well as providing some background information about the eclipse. And finally thanks to everyone who provided the sides each night for the pot luck. We had some pretty good cookin’ this weekend!!
Here’s wishing everyone safe travels…for us it’s on to Evansville!!
