Stay strong Tom, you have the right instincts. Now how often have you heard that?

Harry, I feel that I must remind you that this is a family Forum and therefore you should not be discussing how Tom’s end stinks.

Now Tom, remember we have owned five busses. The first two had slides. Owned the first one as a double slide CC a year, issues, 2nd was a single slide XLII. Had that one for two years. Traded that hummer in on a no slide 45 ft H. Had that one for 5 Ft years. Sold it for a no slide 40 had that one for 6 years. Sold it to go from 8V back to DDEC Series 60. Last three, the H and both 40’s slidefree. Never looked back. No air seal worries, now mechanism worries, no extra weight, no worries about pine needles or other debris before hitting the road. Don’t complicate your life, stay slideless, Nance will see your happier

Tom: How about two slides and only put them out half the time.

I always take advice from C’bus…
Doug on the other hand…….

Has anyone else besides me noticed the folks that seem to advocate non-slide coaches tend to change coaches frequently? Perhaps it is because they actually think they will find the perfect non-slide coach, when those of us enlightened folks know having slides ends the quest for the perfect coach because we have one.
Count the coaches C bus and Truk have had and see if my theory is correct.

Ouch! Jon, now, now, our CCXL one had two HWH slides. Issues, including slides was the cause to trade out. The XLII single slide Marathon had left us slide stuck out in Yellowstone. Swing down TV stuck in closed position twice, needing trip to Marathon AND we had panel delam back in 2002 before it was common. The H3-45 no slide was great but too tall to get into small forest service campground. 1992 Beaver XL 40 was great. We were not planning to trade, but 0593 according to friend checked everyone of our wish boxes. When buying used, having a few or one box checked you’re doing well. But every box, we had to jump on it. So three recent no slide coaches, our first two had slides. Slides burned us in three inopportuned situations.

C’bus, The Godfather’s memory isn’t what it used to be, he went from his non slide Liberty to slides kicking and screaming. I remember the various comments poo pooing non riveted coaches, delam and slides.
I think he’s now shopping for an IPhone.
-
Oh no, Jon had better no “flip” his new iPhone, he’ll crack the screen.

Are either of you guys ever going to stop flipping buses trying to find the ideal coach? I didn’t think so.
My trading of coaches was the natural progression of never ending improvements, 40 foot no slide, 45 foot slide, 45 foot with slides. See how it works? Keeping pace with the market and enjoying the improvements. Here is fair warning……if either or both of you trade coaches or get slides I plan on having some fun.
As to flip phones, seriously??????????? Are either of you able to go even a day without looking at or answering your phones? Maybe you guys should tell me how you need them for business. Or to get directions. Or to take pictures. or to check tire pressures. I hope Apple and Samsung aren’t waiting for my next phone purchase.

Having not commented on this thread yet, I feel left out of a vibrant exchange.
There are two things that I don’t waste my time doing and will never do to our coach:
1. Clean the tops of the slides. Screw it. I just get in and drive away.
2. Put DEF in the coach. Never, ever will I defile our coach by putting DEF in the coach.
That’s my contribution to this thread.

Never say never.
Just like don’t ever say “this is my last coach”.
Somehow stuff like that can bite a person in the ass.

Hmm…. I guess those huge PC dividend checks you got compliments of my IPhone really didn’t come from a business tool. How is that possible since there are reports of you doing a happy dance at the mail box in your underwear. So my IPhone not only compensated you, but also caused a massive traffic jam on the Pike causing more than one red neck to spill his Budweiser.
Back me up here C’bus, we can’t let him win.

When I cash those massive dues checks (and do a happy dance) there is nothing to indicate that piece of paper came from a phone. I think you are making that stuff up.
