A BIG +1 for Brad and Tabatha at Incredible Bank. They were quick and efficient. Call Brad if you are looking to finance a bus up to 20 years old.

ouch. selling a car collection is a big commitment.

I sent a “hint hint ” “you should buy a advertisement ” on the pc site email to Brad yesterday.! Lol

it couldn’t have been easier – and yes 20 year old were no problem. he can also do private purchase. Just needed a verification type of inspection to confirm the vin, ownership, etc.

In the case of a private purchase they would fund the sellers bank directly if there was a note.

Each time I thought I had to limit my choices I would call, get an immediate answer. I’m not sure I ever received an answer to my questions that I thought limited my choices or ability to get my particular deal done in the time line I needed.

Them becoming a sponsor on this website would be a no brainer if it was me. They could have a nice little niche carved out for financing these converted Prevosts. My 2 cents..

This will sound like an advertisement, and it is. If they become advertisers I am certain everyone will benefit but in ways we will not be able to measure.

The obvious benefit is potential Prevost owners will overcome the difficulty in financing a coach they would like to buy. It has been a huge problem ever since the economy had such huge problems in 2007, 2008. When banks tightened up the money sales of coaches and their value dropped significantly.

If buyers have the ability to purchase coaches because they have access to financing the bank wins because it will be making money. The buyer wins because he can buy a coach that previously might have been out of reach. The seller wins because he can sell his coach, and as is often the case, he can replace it with a newer one.

The coaches are going to retain their value better because the market has not been artificially restrained. There are going to be a greater number of buyers, and that benefits not only sellers, commercial and private, but if there is a lot of sales activity in the used market, converters are likely to be able to ramp up their production numbers.

I just cannot see any losers in a scenario where the market place knows of and can access financing. It would be nice to see the 10 year restriction on financing go away because we all know a coach that is older than 10 years of age still looks great and has a lot of years of life ahead of it.

Jon summed it up very, very well. (It seems like he always does that!) The values of our coaches and the liquidity of the coach market (the ability to sell on a timely basis) is basic Economics 101. I wish I would have known about The Incredible Bank when we bought our coach as I would have probably financed it rather than liquidating investments in a lump sum. Leaving that money in the market as it rose would given me the appreciation on the lump sum that I could have spent with Jeff Rowe on upgrades!

Since we have a coach that is 17 years old, 20 year financing is very important to us. Hopefully with favorable experience The Incredible Bank will push that out to 25 years on increditble Prevost motorhomes.

I went to their web site and it appears while they appear to be freindly to Prevost Prospective Owners, they are still subject to Gov. Regs. I saw they require two years of Tax Returns and a PayStub. Not much to offer when you are retired and living on investments and savings. I know they need to be payed back but I would think personal gurantees are the most they would need if they can varify the value of the assets and cut them by 50% and look at the Coach Loan Value vs the sale of the Coach and the personal guarantees. Perhaps with the new administration the banking handcuffs will be removed and bankers can get back to real banking and look at the loan applier and the repay and assests value instead of a “formula” initiated by a bank regulator. Better for all of us.

Amen! Being retired has posed enough challenges since the advent of 001 interest. Geo.

I’m not a banker, and I hope Alan H can join this conversation because he was a banker.

I do know banks don’t like to own stuff. Even though they secure a loan by placing a lien on assets like a home, or a car or a business assets what they really want is a reliable cash stream that will pay the debt.

If there is no income that can be proven such as a pay stub or tax returns I wonder why they cannot secure the debt with liquid assets. Certainly if the bank can hold or otherwise encumber easily liquidated assets such as stocks, or gold bars or the Hope diamond the borrower would not have to liquidate the assets to buy a coach, and if the borrower is in arrears the bank can just sell the assets that secure the debt.

BTW, I agree the bank should be entitled to see proof of financial stability such as tax returns, but as an unemployed coach owner I can say for certain I cannot prove my ability to own a coach. I earned it, and now I am spending it and I have no intention to pay taxes unless I am lined up against the wall with a blindfold on smoking my last cigarette. But how do I convince a banker if I have to, I will liquidate assets in an orderly manner to retire debt?

It’s one thing to finance older units, but what are their rates? Geo.
