Something wrong here as 4 roof airs coming on line at one time would not be a good on wiring or circuit breakers.

Could you take a picture of this thermostat ?

I’m 15 miles away from bus. I’m sure they are not all set to come on at on time, but as I understand this setup, they come on line and drop off as needed. I do have a seperate master for each unit on the dash.

I think a lot of us would like to help, but advice from some of us would at best be specullation. Vantare set their electrical system up in a manner not like my Liberty, so any suggestions I have are likely to be invalid with respect to your coach, and maybe even misleading.

I would suggest you contact the people I know who would be the best to help you, Donny Meyers who specializes in Vantare, and Ben Cummins who is familiar with their systems. Perhaps someone can provide contact information for Donny Meyers.

In Vantare, all of the AC units are controlled by one controller in central location with thermostats spread around the bus in appropriate locations (well at least semi appropriate)

I am assuming the bottom slide switch on the controller is in the on position. there is a 12 volt circiut breaker in the bay (in mine on the forward wall of If that is okay there is one more place to look. In my coach just over the AC circuit breakeer box there is a daughter box. Her the 110 wires go through just after the 110 circuit breakers. This is where the switches from the dash can stop the AC or turn it on.

Are all of the other 110 objects working fine such as TV etc?

If none of this works, I am out of ideas. Hope one of them helps.

On my Vantari there is about a 3 or 4 minute delay when you turn the A/C on ,,did you give it the time to turn on or boot up Thats Vantare sorry

David..I had the switches on for at least 30 minutes while doing something else…nothing.

Jon..I called Featherlite, I couldn’t get anyone that knew anything, they were going to have a more knowledgeable person call me back, didn’t happen.

Called Donnie Meyers, couldn’t talk to Donnie, lady said the person who could help me was out picking up parts and he would call me back, didn’t happen. Picking up parts? That is a runner’s job, not a high paid tech. Doesn’t sound too promising there.

I have sent 2 emails to a previous owner, even called and left message for him to call back, that hasn’t happened.

I bought it from a dealer who bought it to flip it, doesn’t know anything about it.

So, I will just have to spend the time tracing things out.

Since all four of the units are out then the common is the dc system and I assume yours has the switches on the dash to turn them on and off is that correct?

I may have more understanding of the system now, a lot of research last night.

It has a Duotherm 4 button Comfort Control System which you set the mode for each unit and what temp you desire.

There are 4 temp sensors through out the coach that control each unit. There seems not to be a central control unit other than the Comfort Control, all units are interconnected and controlled by the 4 button control unit. Main 110v. breakers are on the main electric panel. It might be in the mode programming, the way I understand what I read is all units have to be in the same mode, ie cool, heat. I understand how the system works now, so when I get back to bus today, maybe I will find all units are not in same mode.

This is a common problem with the Comfort Control thermostat, I had the same issue years ago with a 3 button. I didn’t know what thermostat you were talking about or I would have posted earlier.

Your best bet is to get a reman 4 button from this guy in CO. He’s been around a long time and is reliable. You order a reman for 1220 and then send in your old one. You can also call him, his name, number and address is listed in his Ad.

Tom, is there a way to check the control to be positive that is it? I don’t really mind the price of a rebuilt one if that is what it is. I’d hate to spend the money and shipping and find out I still have the same problem.
