    Bob,

What I saw on another HWH bus, the 5 port manifold in the steering bay was there. They probably modified the system from there down.

Good question about can the HWH be bypassed, if so, you may want to think about that and use the Prevost level low until you’re squared away with the suspension.

I do have the 5 port manifold in the steering bay, if you are talking about the one with the wires hooked to it?

unplug the center one—see if your coach stays up over night. if so will explain…I have no ideal how Liberty changed system??One wire(either one)

prob is but will eliminate one possibility.. That center actiates air flow to leveling valves(the manual ones with the rods to them) when key is on and by passes norgren valves (5 port ones) on a stock Prevost system..Just a shot in the dark..Jon and the guys are more knowledgable than I on the modified systems. Bob, Is this the one you’re talking about? Wires don’t seem to just unplug?

I don’t see the reasoning to unhook the drive (center) solenoid wires. With the key off, there’s no juice present and the valve is in the closed position.

Here is my “stab in the dark” at HWH. My vintage coach has the HWH automatic leveling. The rocker switch on HWH shows Level to left and is spring loaded to middle which is a neutral. Right goes to Dump. Indicators give you left or right as to which side is hi or low. I was having problems with the Level Low (HWH piggybacks to Prevost Level Low as Jon says) selector switch which I replaced. Still not getting “Auto” to work but LL worked for me. Replaced a blown fuse on HWH panel and now it even works.

The problem if I understand it correctly is that something has made the basic level low knob and rocker switch “inactive” Correct me if I am wrong. From the very little I have seen of the HWH is that the HWH panel over rides or replaces those switch functions. So my first reaction is to in some way turn off the HWH so we can be assured it is not having any effect on the suspension that might be messing up the ability to diagnose the basic system.

This is where we need some HWH owners to jump in.

as Tom said should be no power to it. that is key should be no power to it! don’t know– what could have happened that might have powered it up when it should not be powered up. Fuse would be e easy ck as someone suggested..Those 5 (stack) elect contol over air told norgren(air )what to do (raise or lower) a area or your coach. The center one with key off disabled the mechanical leveling valves(the ones you replaced with the rods)..that is a basic how it works ..There should be a norgren inboard of that stack have you soaped it yet? Your getting close..

Yes, I have soaped the 2 Norgrens by the stack, no bubbles.

Tonight, I replaced the other 5 way and the last 3 way, so all 5 valves have been replaced in the rear. Bus is aired up, I’ll go out there in the morning and check the status.

I still hear a leak under the bus that seems to be an AUX air leak, since that guage is slowly falling. But before, it didn’t matter whether I had aux air or not the bus didn’t lean or drop.

My next project is to back the Bus on my ramps, and get under there and find the leak. Must be in a line that holds pressure for the rear bags, since all 6 loose air over night.

trying to get in my head where both sides would be tied together? That a leak would effect both sides? Tag lift ? I’m going to look at diagram tomorrow.. Got my curiosity up. 5 port should be out of picture. manual leveling valves have built in check valves that prevent air excaping from bags back that way.. then 3 port.. ping tanks and fittings.. air lines left.. No luck, went out there this morning and the rear is down!

Bob, I’ll be checking those items you mentioned. Any ideas after looking, let me know.

The only thing the two sides would share is the tag lift feature..some converters had the tags lift when you shut the key off..some one with that feature needs to chime in here.. my coach has a switch you need to throw to lift the tags. That is the only thing I can see in common between both sides. Even at that when it is activated it is suppose to isolate itself from the drive axle air bags on both sides.. Making them independent once again left–right. Otherwise the manual leveling valve controls all thee on left/or right side only…no cross over..Have not got to diagram yet..will later.. Bob
