    Mike,

    It’s one or the other. The generator will override your shore power always.

    In all the years running in hot weather only 1 time have I ever thought about running the 4th a/c when parked on shore power.

    But if your parked in a place with marginal power in the heat of the day I would not hesitate to run my Gen instead of shore power so I don’t have to worry about managing power.

    Yes, I have a transfer switch that prioritizes Generator over shore power also. Seems like that is the norm.
