Chip,
As you do all of this, be certain your belt tension is remaining tight while underway. If it looks good at idle, the tension may be less than needed while at speed and the whole system less efficient if it is leaking under stress.
On mine, I rebuilt the system in the engine bay where the release switch is above the bay door and replaced the actual air bag tension connections, etc.
It worked and solved the problem…. in my view, the problem is not the coolant.
Best,

i put a new aux air regulator and new mini bags on in 2017. I’ll have the belt tension checked out when we do the fluid change.
As for Rotella ELC NF, purchased mine from NAPA in Fort Worth, $14 a gallon.

I was just doing research on what type and brand coolant I was going to put in the bus. I found that Old World Industries (the makers of peak)are the same makers of DD Power Cool,DD Power Cool Plus, Fleet Charge and Final Charge. Fleet Charge being DD Power Cool and Final Charge being DD Power Cool Plus. So if you’re looking for what DD recommends this is their first choice. Most supply houses that carry truck supplies will have these. NAPA is one of the places that carry Fleet Charge and Final Charge so use your discount card to get a good deal on your coolant
