The comment to run the engine at 1500 is a valid point. That may be the difference. Try running the engine at 1500 RPMs and see if that makes a difference. Then it will be interesting to see what pressure it is cutting out at.

Where are you now, Tom? I am not using my gauges now but I plan on using them the beginning of Feb. Or Jeff can do what I am suggesting easier because he knows the system far better than me.

I do remember Jeff was working on someone’s dash air coach and he was getting the wrong expansion valve. It wasn’t yours was it? I assume that has been resolved at Prevost, but yours could have been one that got the wrong one.

Hmm, didn’t know that, I’ll check it out thanks…

That was my Legendary. Prevost shipped the wrong parts about 3 times. Wound up going to Nashville and even they had issues finding the right parts…took them a couple of attempts also. They finally figured out that if they looked it up under a MH shell, even with the correct VIN, the system was wrong. They put it in as a bus, and then got the right parts somehow, and even had them in stock.

Got the expansion valve and dryer in and the a/c really worked better than it ever had.

It seems that that particular bus was at the begining of a model change out, and things were messed up in the parts system according to the tech who did the work at Prevost.

I never had the light come on though…just no cooling, or very little.

I have found that if the clutch gap is over 15 it may slip at higher engin speeds.
