Photo uploads and spring
Posted by Alvie on February 27, 2014 at 10:51 pmIn an effort to kill two birds with one stone, I am making an attempt to load some pictures of my old car that I washed tonight, in hopes the weather gets the hint that I am ready for Spring, and also to show how easy it is to load photos.
If I can do it, anybody can do it, including Jon:)

Alvie,
Real nice ride, whats under the hood? Like the shop also and looks like you have lots of room to work indoors.
Spring will someday show up and then he real work starts.
Take care

Alvie, nice ride! Come on, what’s under the hood?
Here’s a couple of street roads from my earlier days.
1950 Studebaker, top chopped, Buick nailhead, all Jaquar suspension.
1929 Ford, original sheetmetal (except fenders and running boards, top chopped, 375HP/327.
The car my wife hated. 100% original! Was going to get a modern drive train upgrade and be a daily driver.

Gil,
What is the third car? A LaSalle? I’ve always leaned towards original although your others are very nice.
Here is a pic of my baby…. 1964 RR Silver Cloud III. I’ve owned it for 15 yrs. and it has been a fun car to have and really gets the thumbs up when driving around.

Andre,
The car has 27,000 miles on with all original body panels with no rust ever.
327 SBC bored .30 over, Crane 488/509 bump stick, Wieand intake, through the fenderwell headers, MSD ignition.
Muncie M22 Rock Crusher with Hurst Comp+ shifter and 410 rear.
Great fun to drive but not much for top end speed obviously.
Peter,
I built the shop back when we still had our 40′ Bluebird thus it is only 50′ deep:( although the current bus fits, no problem. Sidewalls are 14′ 6″ with 17′ 8″ center ceiling height. Width is 70′ with a 15′ 6″ wide apt. on one end and kids rec area above. Grated floor drain in center allows us to wash vehicles inside in all seasons.
One of the best parts is the heavily insulated attic and 6″ sidewalls with blown cellulose. With no heat turned on, in below zero weather, the inside temperature has never dropped below 46 degrees. This also obviously makes it very economical to heat and cool as needed.
Thanks for looking.

Alvie, great power plant!
MM, it’s a 1940 Cadillac Series 62. It was a two owner, one driver car. It really could have been something, had I kept it.

Alvie I second what Andre said. Real nice garage and car ,not much of a tractor guy but i do like your coach too.
Oh yeah watch out for Andre. I think he wants to use your garage to work on his coach LOL.
