Even hard dry sand is an issue. We had to get into a very tight spot in FL at a campground that did not have paved sites. Just from turning the wheel sharply while sitting still the front wheels dropped down to about 4″ below ground level. I had to straighten them out (digging them even deeper) to avoid spinning the drives so I could pull back out of the site without getting stuck.
