John, this answer is not based on fact or knowledge, but a wild assed guess.

None of my coaches had a lubricator in the line. But Norgrens are built with a light grease lubricant in the sliding area of the spool and actuators. If a kit is installed you will not repair kits are supplied with the parts also pre-lubricated.

Having said that pneumatic system maintenance takes on a special importance because if moisture is allowed to enter the system it will not take long before the moisture destroys the lubricity of the sliding parts. I have seen a dull gray almost dry sludge in Norgrens which prevents them from moving internally.

    Jon,

A hundred years ago, when I was working changing truck tires, we had a

lubrication system on the shop air.

I cannot even imagine where you could put a lubrication system on the

coach to adequately supply all the norgrens.

    Thanks for the reply.

Your shop air lubricant was to protect the air tools. If a tire got a light misting of oil in it while inflating, no harm. But in the bus I am not sure it is wise to add an oil mist in the accessory system. It will lube the Norgrens, but because air bags are constantly breathing in and out that vapor may accumulate to a slight extent in them also. I do not know how various other pneumatic devices will tolerate oil.
