I step in with hip hugger boots on just so I can keep from getting all the stuff on me to answer Gils question. Yes, Gil, I am home building a 91 XL 40 and I used all wood for the front cabinets. I built the various cabinet carcuses using 3/4 birch plywood then used 3/4 solid birch to make cabinet fronts using the kreg jig. I have a pilot and copilot cabinet with a slanted 32″ flat panel between them. I attached the cabinets in strageic locations to the prevost bus frame. You will most likely have to take some or most of the “pretty” frame coverings off, make and place your cabinets then modify the “pretty” covering to match your new cabniets. If you need help modifying the “pretty” covering, Rod can probably walk you through that. I would post pics but I just haven’t had good results doing that. If you want pics, I could try again or maybe the bandits that keep beating up you and Buddy could post them for me if I send them to them.

Just to show you we are not opposed to helping Gil out use the photo upload instructions at the bottom of the main forum page to help you post them.

Actually they would help a lot of folks because owners of a lot of coaches probably would want to modify or rebuild their front overhead cabinets due to the significant changes in TVs and audio equipment.

Tom Roberts rebuilt his overhead in his 94 Liberty and maybe he could be convinced to post his photos also.

If you have problems posting them send Tom or I the photos and we will load them.

I need to upgrade mine right now.

Although I am considered a tall midget, I still hit my head on the uper cabinet some times.

Plus I would like to get rid of the tube TV before every body puts me in the class of Jon when it comes to up to date high tech electronics.
