Need to buy a tool box
My coach did not come with a tool box. I don’t know if previous owner had Liberty delete it or if he removed it from the bus.
Where is the best place to get a tool box. The frame of the slide is 12.125″ x 26″ (so I figure a 12×26 foot print) and there is 14.5″ of clearance between the frame of the slide and the cabinetry above. I found a Snap-On, with the right foot print, but the its 15.5″ high.

a snap on box would of came with it, how ever I think craftsman has a box that fits there perfectly

I really did like the toolbox set up on my previous Liberty. I would like to replicate it in my Royale. Does anyone know where Liberty sourced that toolbox slide?

I could be convinced to sell you my Liberty tool box slide. I have the entire assembly.

The slide will accomodate a wide range of manufacturer’s tool boxes. They are standardized so you can go to Sears, Northern, or the endless number of manufacturers who list on the internet. I use one I bought on the internet because I wanted the tallest possible and the Snap On was a little too short.

The slide base (in my Liberty) seems to be pretty standard for
a topbox (well not talking the crazy oversized boxes you can get now).
But one thing to remember to measure is the height clearance. I picked up
a decent Kobalt not even thinking about the height… Now looking at either getting a shorter box
or taking the base/slide out and just putting the toolbox on the big slide out
tray. -
I do have a problem with vertical clearance in the bay. The Royale has 4 slide out trays in the first bay. That is where I really want the tool box. There is only a little under 13 inches from the floor of the lower tray to the floor of the upper tray. Not only that, but the tray front is an important piece of the structure of the tray. Photo attached. Any suggestions?

Jon … do you remember the name of the manufacturer? I’m hoping to get one with drawers that automatically lock the Sears/Craftsman GripLatch.

I’ll have to look at my tool box to see the brand. BTW, waaaay cheaper than Snap On, and I cannot see any difference in quality because I have the orignal snap on in my garage.

I just did this Kobalt at Lowes and it’s a great box for 2300.

Jon, Do you still have your tool box slide? If you do, what would you need to part with it. The ’97 Liberty I have purchased is missing the tool box and slide.

Ignore Tom. He is a little testy because he isn’t loving the blow torch like heat out west.
I do have a Liberty tool box slide. Make me an offer and figure out how to get it assuming I like your offer.
