Going to the AITA web site you now can find out if the local NAPA store is in the program before you go after the parts. No more surprises at the check out counter.

Well, that’s two (2) NAPA jobbers that choose for what ever reason not to sign up for the AITA program. Thousands of dollars are spent on promotion to get customers into NAPA stores designing added incentives. Unfortunately these smaller jobbers don’t do enough sales to qualify for the program or just choose to buck the system.

I would sit in sales meetings and hear 10 reasons why some programs and incentives were wrong. Then you understand why some jobbers would never have increases in sales. Many just hang on and then wonder why their store will not sell in the market when they plan to retire. Many simply just close down.

PC and NAPA bear all the cost for this program, Including postage. There are no hidden charges for anything and the response has been great with the extended added length of the cards, so cards are now good to 2019.

PC members might remember the card was good for a year when the program was launched 3 years ago. That has all changed as many PC members now have the card. We have hundreds of cards sent out and with the number on the back of the card give us continued support by NAPA. All info is included on the back of the card. The counterman just follows the instructions on the back of card.

Example …of the major savings I’ve learned buying starting batteries. You can save over $150 on 4 -31 series batteries using the NAPA card.

All we ask is insert “Prevost Community” in the company name when signing up for your card.

Big Al is absolutely correct. Apart from the savings which is substantial, the best thing about the card is if you get a salesclerk who has never encountered the card, just ask him to follow the instructions on the back.

That feature makes the entire process easy.

My local store does not accept it but since I am rarely near my local store it does not matter. The NAPA where I purchased start batteries in August did not accept it either but they did give me a super deal over the posted price and they were great to work with. (By the way, two of the batteries were bad off the shelf and the NAPA guys went out of their way to do anything they could to make it right, including offering to bring whatever I needed several miles out into the country.)

Having the stores listed on the website that do accept the discount card is a great (new?) feature. I saw several stores listed in areas where I travel and they will definitely get my business.

I suspected that might happen. I knew you’ve waiting for the right oppurtunity after you figured out I went to the POG Prevost show in Tampa a few weeks ago and now you’ve found the perfect opportunity for retribution.

Thanks for the feed back about your experience. I’ll just make a suggestion when buying 4 batteries.

If you call ahead most NAPA dealers will be glad to order your 4 batteries direct from the distribution center. Most NAPA dealers have an order overnight. This will give you 4 fresh batteries with the same date codes. We would always suggest this having them in the store the next day. If it was a maintenance issue and the vehicle broke down.

NAPA wants to help you get fresh batteries and most customers were impressed with the idea.

Truk4u, does the same thing with the Lifelines he sells. When I purchased Lifelines from him batteries were 3 weeks old.

Dick, Apply for another using Prevost Community would be great. We’ll pretend you lost the first card.

I appreciate you doing this as strong numbers are always important in any customer program.

Your safe Dick, I don’t know anything about a POG show, but I do encourage people looking for a bus to go to the Prevost Stuff show, not a better place to see lots of Prevosts in one location for sale.
