Ok, got it. We have new regulator but mini bags still leaks down. So, the air leak hunt continues.

That’s the problem with that system because there are so many potential leakage points you need a large bottle of soapy water to check them all, including the air bags themselves.

Jim, it is a very good chance it is your check valve. BoaterAl used to have the part. numbers and source info. I changed my check valve just after I got my coach, but didn’t put that info in my logs. The check valve looks like an elongated fitting screwed in the inlet to the regulator.

I adopted Jon’s jack screw idea several years ago as I did not like the belts being loose when the engine started and also got tired of the air leaks. It has been a great improvement. Last weekend I was changing belts and the bolt broke in half when taking the nuts off. I always carry spare belts and now carry a spare bolt as well.

I purchased mine from Prevost. Price was reasonable, shipping fast and it fit properly. No need to waste time trying to save a small amount. My take, anyway.

FulltimeBill, 7 yrs ago we replaced the original leaky regulator with a unit from Tractor Supply for $35. It’s still working perfectly but we did have to make a new mount.

Thanks to you both. I was looking for the easy option so I ordered that part from Prevost. The regulator was available for $60 or a kit with all the associated parts for $600. I said “WTF” and she said the 4 way valve was $400. Does that make any sense to anyone? That can’t be right.

Yes that valve with the red knob 4 or 5 years ago was over $350 bucks, mine was leaking bad, It’s for a bus driver to change belts without tools, I replaced it with a brass 1/4 inch ball valve and a new check valve, to loosen belts close ball valve push schreder valve. My belts are always tight.
