    Alvie et al…….

I tried to post the abover photo and failed. I was told by our resident photo upload expert to clear the cache and my problem would be solved.

What solved the problem is I put the cursor in the body of the post before I tried to upload the photo……DUH!

    Techology strikes again.

Jon, are those LED”S in the back window of that ’50?

    Jerry,

Yes they are. I have them solely for towing, but in retrospect I should consider hooking them up to the car for every day driving because the original tail lights are really inadequate. I am going to try LED lights that look factory original first. The car remains a work in progress.

    Jon,

As you probably know, there are direct LED replacements for 1156 & 1157 bulbs. But that car is probably 6-volt. Positive ground, too? Flathead V-8? Oil-bath air cleaner?

It would be really neat to have the original-looking taillights with LEDs! Maybe LED headlights too?

The car isn’t exactly a 1950 Ford. Fatman chassis with coil overs, 4 wheel disc brakes, A/C, PS, PB, Dakota dash, Tremec 5 speed, alternator, and a 12V system.

I don’t want just a bulb, but the whole light to be filled with LEDs. I’m looking for far more visibility than what I have right now which is pretty lame. It’s on the list of things I have to do to the car.
