What ever happened to the good old “Atlas” days where you map out your route and hope road construction haven’t closed a couple roads after the Atlas was published

Jerry, I refuse to look at a GPS in my 1974 Coupe Deville. I keep a US Road Atlas under the seat. It enhances my experience.

When the day comes that someone turns off the magic GPS switch for the general public, those old paper maps may come in handy.

I don’t think you will find the one solution to your issue of a variable trip GPS. What i recommend is having a fixed RV GPS inside the RV, an alternate method of tracking your route, and the third method I like is writing the HWY #’s on a post it note, i.e. 15,20,113,24,5,10 etc etc.. I just got back from a 2K mile trip thru Valley of Fire, Bryce, Arches, Lake Powell, Grand Canyon, and Laughlin. All 3 of these methods came in handy at some point of the trip. By the way, if you ever have the chance to drive HWY 12 and 24 from Bryce to Arches in Utah it is a very scenic drive. The Hogback is amazing also.
