Fuel Program Locations other then Loves
Up until now I have always been able to fuel up at Loves and get the 10 cent discount. This year I will be traveling out west in a few states that do not have Loves locations. I have never used the other card that gives a 5 cent discount. When the fuel program first came out, there was a link to a map that showed all locations that accepted the non-loves card. I tried these old links today and they no longer work.
So can we get an up to date link for all locations that accept the fuel discount card?
Can the card be used at TA, Petro, FlyingJ or any other major truck stops?
I really like the ability to fuel up and go whitout going to the fuel desk. To me that is the best part of the fuel program. Saves a lot of time and frustration. The money saved is icing on the cake.
Does anyone have the answers to these questions, or should I just call profit tools?

However, I thought all Pilots would give the discount. I stopped in Madison, Ga and had to pay the posted price. When I got the email from Profit, it stated that location did not participate?
I won’t stop there anymore.

I am out west now and there is virtually nothing that gives the discount. But the 2nd card has never been turned down. The links on the site work, I was just on it last night. hey have changed the site all around though.

OK…I admit it…I’m anal about fuel prices.
I use the GAS BUDDY app frequently…I plan ahead for fuel stops and take a look at the station layout on Google satellite to figure out approach and egress… I’m not at all bashful about Sam’s Club or WalMart…any station where fuel is priced right…as long as I can comfortably get in and out. If you can’t get into a service station, how do you get into campgrounds?
Secondly…I carry a Sam’s Club MasterCard…It will pay 5% of any fuel purchase, anywhere….not just at Sam’s. There are other credit cards and discounts, but I’ve never known of one that beats the 5% rebate program. Fuel is the only reason I carry that card.
Truck stops bother me…they’re always greasy…alot of traffic, not to mention the double march to the fuel desk. Plus, they have decided their presence deserves an extra 30-50cents/gallon. I don’t like ’em to begin with, so the price just puts the icing on that cake.
What am I missing here?

I have just read that Costco is starting a program to put diesel into as many station locations as they can. Many Costco locations do have diesel already and more are coming online. Stations are easy to get into and they will give a 5% discount on all purchases off an already low price from what I have been able to discern. Sam’s might be forced to do the same thing in the future. Michael

I wouldn’t buy fuel at anyplace other then a major truck stop…period. Risk of contaminated fuel is about slim to none as turnover is quick.
I’ve been in those Sam’s , Walmart fuel lines and it’s a little scary with drivers cutting in front of each other.

Michael….We just joined Costco a few days ago….their fuel discount is 4% when using their credit card or a debit card. There are some other discounts involved for other purchases.

look into the Pilot card, I think its 8cents off for diesel. Haven’t run into any place that didn’t have the discount, I think it is company policy., Apply on line, once approved you get access code, pay at the pump, directly debited from your account once month. Accurate records, works like a charm.

Last summer, we were up in Montana, SD, ND, & Wyoming. There was one Love’s in SD and one in WY. I could not find a major truck stop that accepted the second fuel card.
Heading out to Oregon this summer after Harvest … hopefully better luck!

Take it from me as the former owner of a trucking company with 500 over the road trucks. I had much rather purchase another pair of “truck stop shoes” and walk through a few diesel puddles than to deal with contaminated fuel at some seldom used diesel island at a filling station. After many years in the trucking business I can trace back 99 percent of our contaminated fuel issues to drivers that purchased fuel at unauthorized filling stations.
Maybe I’m just an old trucker, but truck stops are designed for the needs of big rigs. Filling stations are not. Ever purchase a low hanging roof at a filling station when some dodo tried to get a 13 foot truck under a 12 foot roof?

The 2nd card is accepted most everywhere in the EFS Network, but I understand there are exceptions. With the 2nd card, you get the cash price, just like walking in with cash. I’ll check on the list you mentioned.
The other cards you you guys are talking about getting a discount is off the retail price, is that not correct?
As an old trucker myself, I’ll stick with fresh fuel at truckstops and not playing Russian roulette with all the morons in a crowded big box store taking on 15 gallons.

Try to understand that with the fuel discount cards the greatest advantage is you can start your pump, fill up with fuel and drive away without ever leaving the side of your coach or going into the truck stop.
There is no discount card in the world better than that feature.

The fuel card was not accepted at QTs in Tulsa, OK. and Terrell, TX. I gave the attendant my PIN and unit number, but the computer would not accept the card.
