When it comes time this fall to do my suspension, I’ll be going with Balance Masters. Had them on two buses and they were great.

    Jack,

Did you get a chance to shoot the temps of your wheels and hubs?

Apart from something in the sensor sending the wrong information, a hanging brake or dry bearing could be heating up that wheel, although I think the outer drive tire and wheel would see the added heat as well.

    Jack,

Any chance that tire had a little more air in it before leaving or were they all identical?

There has been some discussion in the past about the inside dual running hotter.

I have about 500 miles to do tomorrow, I’ll compare mine and report back.

I went for a 70 mile test run today and all of the drive axle tires started around 97-98 PSI and they were all at 111-113 at the end,the tire temperatures were just above 150 and the wheels were around 135 degrees,I cannot understand what happened on the last trip but I will keep an eye on the Pressure Pro for the next few trips.

All those values are exactly what would have been expected so obviously it is reading as expected. The summer time pressure increase of around 15 PSI and the tire temps all being similar is consistent with temps and pressures I have seen.

While the various monitors we have on our coaches are valuable in reporting out of range conditions, any time something alerts me to a potential problem my first reaction is to verify the monitor is accurate. Most of the time it has been the monitor that has had a glitch (such as the Vanner electrical monitor) so any time an out of range or departure from normal is shown it will not hurt to verify it.

That’s about what I saw today Jack, the drives were within 2 psi of each other.
