You’ve come a long way baby………

Here we are discussing bio-fuels and their impact on longevity. There was a time when the oil or transmission fluid was changed and that drain oil was run through a cheesecloth “filter” right into the fuel tank.

Up in the snow belt nobody though anything of mixing kerosene and #1 or #2 in the winter. Diesel engines were all supposed to spew out clouds of black smoke. When they finally got started in the winter it was only after quite a few minutes of running that the white smoke cleared up. My point is we have morphed into owners that would put anything into the fuel tank that would burn, into owners who don’t dare risk anything new for fear it will hurt the engine. My objection to the bio stuff is how it takes money from our pockets because of the much lower BTU content.
