I wasn’t going to name the special water my coach prefers, but Buddy likely used the same on his CC and Marathon.

When I do change coolant I have the butler deliver the water to the coach engine area on a silver serving tray, slightly chilled.

I believe the butler also sees that I never have to worry about running out of rose petals also.

Surprisingly most places allow “clean” meaning no mixed in oil, fuel, or other unacceptable compounds, antifreeze disposal in the municipal sewage system in non commercial quantities. It is degraded by the bugs in the sewage plant, and they actually thrive on it.

that handles auto repair facility waste regulations – it cites shops can do it with permission from the local wastewater plant.

“Transport and Disposal: The TCEQ regulates treatment and disposal
only if the antifreeze is hazardous. If your used antifreeze is hazardous, then
it must be transported and disposed of like any other hazardous waste you
generate. Nonhazardous antifreeze may be discharged to the sanitary sewer
if you first get the written approval of your local wastewater-treatment
plant. The best disposal choice for any used antifreeze your shop generates
is recycling.”

Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not suggesting everyone just dump all their used coolant down the toilet. Set aside that first “pure” coolant mix drain and put in the bottles the new antifreeze and distilled water came in and take it to recycling. Big picture wise it’s the environmentally right thing to do. I mean if you are doing this kind of work you are probably draining into a cut-off plastic 55 gallon barrel, just get an extra one, or use the other end of the barrel as a holding container for the first drain until you are done and have empty bottles to put the concentrated stuff into.

The main problem when doing a flush out like this is the multiple iterations and many, many gallons of very water diluted coolant that are generated. I flushed mine 7 yes seven times and it still had color to it (did I say I was a bit OCD). Down the toilet this stuff went.

Do not dump it in storm drainage as it is toxic to pets and wildlife in its unprocessed state.
