The original 20 blocked out sites at the PC rally rate were filled. Gina from the resort has added an additional 5 sites at that rate and with the original 20. If you can plan that far out, don’t wait as this is shaping up to be a great annual event.

Make sure that you tell them you have a 99 or newer. I told them 93 and now I have to send them pictures to be approved. I already had an RV spot for the Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona the same weekend that I was going to sell. I’m glad I didn’t yet.

Any time anyone asks always tell them it is a new Prevost. Don’t waste time trying to convince someone your Prevost meets their standards. The real issue is if the RV park meets your standards.

Bill, you just hit a raw nerve with me. I recently made reservation at a certain north Michigan RV resort. While making the reservation I was asked for the make of my unit. I responded that it was a Prevost, and they booked my reservation. Some time later I was speaking to Jeff at East Tennessee Luxury Coach and mentioned my Michigan reservation. Jeff suggested I might need to call and reconfirmed my reservation because of the age of my coach. I did so and was informed that they were cancelling my reservation. I would have been in a real pickle if I had driven all the way there only to learn I was denied entry due to THEIR MISTAKE!
At my age I do not choose to tie up $$$ millions in a new Prevost ( been there, done that). But I am willing to bring my 1990 “classic” Prevost along side anyone’s new ‘plastic’ coach for comparison.
To to make a long story short, I am just so tired of ‘snobbery’ on any level. I purchased 5 brand new Prevost coaches in my lifetime. Just because I choose to show some frugality in my declining years and drive an older coach, I become throughly disgusted when some snob rejects my beautiful coach because of age. Just in case no one has ever pointed it out, let me do so. WE ALL HAVE AN EXPERATION DATE ,!,,

Hugh, If it is any consollation we had a PC rally scheduled at Hearthside for this year and they pulled that crap regarding the restriction and we cancelled the rally. But they are not alone. Bella Terra in Foley has an age restriction and we refused to do our rally there unless it was waived. Now our contract with them has language that says any attendee of the PC oysterfest is allowed, no age restrictions.
You know your RV resort included that restriction in their proposal despite my insistence that restriction alone was a deal breaker.
Our only response to any questions about age is to either tell them we will not go to their resort because of the discrimination, or to turn it around and ask the age of the resort and tell them their resort is too old for your personal preference on the age of an RV resort. It’s bullshit.

For what it’s worth, I had to send a pic of my ’01 coach to attend clawfest. The next morning they sent an email to me referencing their approval, despite my coach being more than 10 years. Go figure…

Jon, I called that resort I once owned and gave them a piece of my mind. I told them they were really stupid not to remove the age restriction. If I owned a resort and was interested in selling lots, the last thing I would do is refuse a Prevost owner admittance. How dumb can one be?

Your coach is the same year as mine. Being a HillBilly, and much like Jethro in
the Beverly Hillbillies, I ain’t too good at ‘cifering’. Therefore, when they ask me the age of my
coach, I drop a ‘Naught’ and my 2001 becomes a 2011. If I have to send a photo, my Coach is much
too good for their RV Park.Fred

When we have traveled, the one thing we noticed is that no matter what kind of rig, what age, or what the value, every single RVer was enjoying himself.
When we ran into folks we did not want to park next to we realized if had nothing to do with the type, age or value of their rig.
BTW, to add to my previous comments about Hearthside and others that have restrictions, Tom and I found that the excuse for the restriction was the lot owner’s association established that rule, yet in clear violation of their own rules there were lot owners whose coaches exceeded the allowable age limits. When we pointed that out there was no acceptable explaination of that violation. The deciding factor was one of the PC members whose coach is drop dead gorgeous and is one of the nicest there is was told he couldn’t even buy a lot because his coach exceeded the age.
I won’t patronize any RV resort that has those restrictions whether my coach complies or not.
