I carry extra belts for both my Series 60, as well as my Kohler generator. In addition, I carry extra fuel filters for my generator.

I did carry extra Prevost fuel filters, but over the last two years, fueling up at only Love’s Truck Stops, I don’t know really if I need to carry the two fuel filters, so I haven’t replenished my Prevost fuel filters. I have needed the belts on one occasion.

As an FYI: When I was at Prevost Jacksonville, I asked about the fuel filters and they said they would certainly sell them to me, but that they’re available all over the country and, if needed, I could easily get one … But I do understand those who carry extra fuel filters if you do pick up bad fuel and need to change a filter on the road. But that’s why I go to Love’s since I’ve yet to hear about a trucker picking up bad fuel there due to their extensive fuel turnover.

I carry extra air fittings/hoses for your inevitable air leaks both on the Prevost side, as well as the house side. In addition, I have some extra LED house lights and whole house water filters, as well as water filters for the fridge. But you can pick these up at any Home Depot.

I also carry a toolbox with various tools to work on the bus when I can.

Belts, various relays and circuit breakers, misc. fasteners such as screws, nut, bolts. Tapes including electrical, duct and double sided. Velcro strips. Adhesive / sealer. Super glue. Spare Watchdog. Various small plumbing pipe caps or plugs (to plug air lines).

Various light bulbs for house and chassis. Fuses. Miscellaneous electrical terminals, Schrader valves, tire valve stem caps, short lengths of wire with alligator clips on each end, voltmeter, clamp on multitester with AC/DC amp reading capability, IR heat gun, High quality tire air chuck with gauge, 50 feet of air hose.

Flash light, wide selection of hand tools, Nexus reader with software for DDEC V, ABS system, transmission. power drill, task specific tools such as extension and socket to adjust slide pins and tools dedicated to relaxing or tightening belts (pneumatic system has been removed).

I stopped carrying any parts I have no intention of changing or cannot get at a local auto parts store such as spare tire, Norgrens, air bags, brake chambers, etc.

I do carry a ladder that will get me onto the roof if required. I carry some fluids such as Transynd, but oil is in the reservoir and if it is a loss of coolant I use on board water.

Most importantly I carry as many owner or shop manuals for all the various devices or appliances, plus I have bookmarked various sites on the computer so I can do as much trouble shooting as possible. Additionally I carry a list of phone numbers.

I will not get under my coach when on the road. I carry credit cards and cash.

I have about what Jon carries. twice now the ladder has saved me , once when the satellite wouldn’t stow and just a few days ago when the dead bolt broke and I had to put mama thru the window 😂

Not tools or parts , but always important to have safety gear. Like first aid kid , Reflective safety triangles and vest, flares. Fire extinguisher ( Check and see if Yours is on the recall list ) And of course spare ammo !

Is your bus equipped with one or two water pumps for house? I have one pump only and carry a complete spare.

I agree strongly with Joel, but mine is already installed and turning a few valves determines if my primary or back up pump is the one in use.

When we travel I really do not want to play mechanic, plumber, electrician, etc. I’ll save that for the garage at home if possible.

Thanks for the inputs. I appreciate it. since we are full time we carry the following;

Fire Extinguisher, spare relays, circuit breakers, belts, plumbing line, fittings, dicor, ladder, radiator fluid, oil, tools, walkie talkies, Air compressor, microphor gaskets, duct tape, electrical tape, pipe thread, spare sureflo pump, Wife & Cats.
