Look at coaches for sale. Tom of Prevost Commuinty is selling his bus.

WoW Jeff, As much as I want to use my words I’m suddenly struck speechless… Tom has gone rogue and it’s been a long time in coming. I know that behind the scenes Tom has been pining away and talking to Andy about a driver-less Prevost! But I think what may have thrown the boy over the hill and through the glen, is a four slide bus.
Over the Mountains of the Moon, Down the valley of the shadow, Ride boldly ride!
Tom loves that “Ride Boldly” stuff!

I think he’s shooting for as many buses as planes he’s owned.

I’m not taking any slides (I mean SIDES ) in this situation!!

This could be one of the few times Harry and I are in agreement.
This initially became “public” earlier today on Facebook (see screen snip below) and I was really stunned … to steal a line from Harry: Speachless.
Cathie and I spent five or six days next door to Tom and Nancy in Polk City last winter. The four of us talked about their “new coach”, Nancy seemed to really like the coach, and talked enthusiastically about it. So did Tom.
I’m never one to intentionally step on the “third rail” and ask stupid questions like … “So Tom, how long will you keep this coach?” … “Does the new coach really have enough slides for Nancy?” … “Is this just an interim coach until you and Nancy find that perfect Liberty for the two you?” You all know … those kinds of boorish, inappropriate, and border line non-PC PC questions.
Even when I got him aside privately he still talked about how much he really, really liked this new (to them) coach. So I figured (I find now naively) that was “their last coach”.
But as my Dad said often … “too each their own”. I’m not going to judge, question (too much), or criticize (too harshly) a decision nice people like Tom and Nancy make (if she had any input). It’s their (and probably quite a bit of Jon’s share of dues) money, they should be able to spend it as they see fit (as we all of course help them spend it).
What I do find very, very interesting is Tom’s post to Facebook much earlier today. I saw his FB post linking in the listing on the PC Forum. But when I came to the Forum today … he was silent about it.
Then it dawned on me. Tom doesn’t want to Jon to know about the sale of their coach. It was obvious. I’m sure Jon isn’t a FB person but checks the Forum continuously. I think (sly like a fox) Tom figures Jon would never realize that he and Nancy were selling their coach if he just put an announcement on FB rather than shouting from the coach tops on the Forum. Smart move.
All that said, whoever buys this coach should be getting a very good one.

Like Jeff, I saw Tom’s bus listed for sale, but saw no forum chatter about this significant event. I have waited patiently for some justification for such an outrageous and ill-advised course of action.
I can assure the members of the forum that had I followed through with my threat to bombard Tom with questions about coach operation, maintenance, etc., Tom’s short-lived relationship with the ultimate coach (2004 Marathon H, single slide) could be explained. I can also assure the members of the forum that I did not bother Tom one time with stupid questions (at least not lately), so there must be another explanation.
Tom’s next move could very well be a social and cultural mistake of epic proportions. Hopefully, he will stick with a Marathon conversion in an effort to avoid severe disappointment.

To join in the speculation, didn’t Tom make a stop in at Marathon at Coburg,Or. durning his trip this Summer.

WOW! Tom puts his coach on the market and all kinds of stuff starts to surface. I don’t know whether one of the feral cats drug Colt in or he just came up for air on his own.
Great to see him around again.

I’m reminded of my daughters first year of college. She had a professor who was super liberal. One day he was on one of his liberal rants and asked my daughter if she’s a democrat or a republican? She said a republican! He then asked “And why are you a republican? And she, knowing it would make him go crazy said, “because my Dads a Republican”! He got all puffed up as she knew he would and said “and what would you be if your dad was an idiot”? And with a big smile on her face said “Oh, then I’d be a democrat”!
Hey Tom, Marathon or Liberty? Jon may even share his Rose pettles!

Oh God, do Prevost folks all believe that Trump is the Savior?
-
We only have one savior Fulltime… But I’ve never seen him pictures with blond hair. Although I have seen him Trump part the Red Snapper!

I never went anywhere. I just don’t post much, as I have little to contribute.
Actually, I admit that I was intrigued by the various opinions about over-revving a Series 60, the argument about the maximum recommended RPM, and all the associated testy comments and exchanges that accompanied the discussion. I was almost to the point of being unable to resist posting on that thread, but Jon, in an administrative stroke of genius, locked the thread, ending the discussion.
So, I went down to the bus barn, kicked one of my dogs, cranked up the bus, and over-revved the engine. But only up to 2500 RPM.
