  • Another Marathon owner on the loose

Posted by Per on January 1, 2016 at 12:37 am

Well, we jumped in with both feet after getting a call this morning that got us the coach for what we bid, and a reasonable trade for our much-beloved CC Affinity. Spent half the day cleaning out our coach and moving all the stuff over to the Prevost. Drives like a dream! Will have lots of questions, but this definitely made it a very Happy New Year. Now we will be starting the process of getting it up to snuff.

Per, I took Brenda to look at a 99 Country Coach. It wasn’t for her. Good luck with your find. Ernie- on the hunt

Great news Per. When you are near Houston, I have a full hookup site on the private lake for you all so we can see this rolling mansion.

If you have an pictures, that would be grand. Bravo!

Still trying to figure out some things on the coach, but went through the manuals yesterday. BTW, the ad for the coach is still on RVTrader.com, with lots of pictures. We got it at Stahmann’s.

Looked at that coach when I was on the hunt. That was about 1 1/2 years ago. Good looking coach and I would of traveled to see it. As the bus owner was total lock down mode on price there was no point to go see.

Congrads on putting that deal together…a really clean bus from my memory. We are 2 production numbers apart and maybe built at the same time.

    Welcome to the Marathon family.

Wow, Per and Margrit-Wonderful-Congrats. Yet another Marathon in the 590’s. B/A is 0591, we are 0593, and you are now 0594. We could have a “590’s Rally

You’all have one advantage on me….your A/C blower works correctly.

My dash is opened up port to starboard to get access to blower and dash control box. I’am waiting for correct replacement parts from Prevost.

Unless you want to pay overnight air expense there is no regular shipping inbetween X-mas and NewYears. Monday all back to normal.

BTW…note to other bus owners with OTR air and dash air. If you have both systems make sure your Prevost parts guy chooses replacement parts for LARGE AIR system.

Using Truk’s bus as an example he has dash A/C and no OTR air. Known as SMALL A/C system.

    Size matters Truk……

Again, congrats on the new coach!

I looked up the coach thinking that you bought the one at Olympia…. I see that you bought a different coach and the ad at RVtrader is not there as of a few minutes ago.

    Post pics where you can!

Hope to see you both at a Rally in 2016!
