I see my warranty dude mentioned our accident with a Prius, (don’t hit one, those things are heavy because of the batteries) I’ll keep it short. We had a Prius try and do a uturn directly in front of us, hit her on the Apost with my right front corner at 45mph and spun her around into the side of the bus. She was very lucky, walked away with a sore arm and bloody nose. At impact we had some cupboard doors come open and some stuff scatter on the floor, minor for a collision. The deputy investigating the accident had driven tour busses in Yellowstone and knew what a Prevost was, his comment was “That thing is a tank, if you’d of hit her with any other motorhome you’d of rolled in the ditch and we’d be picking up the pieces.” As it was, we drove it home 1100 miles.

I have had my Ikon since the 28th of July and have 15,650 miles on it already. It had 240 on it when new. Other than the fact that it rides a bit more solid in the front, it tracks better in the wind, gets 2+ mpg better, and goes up the same hills between 15 and 25 mph faster than any of my 3 Prevosts ever did.
There is somewhat less storage and the only real bitch is it takes about 2 football fields to turn around (not really, just a fair bit more). Another plus is I can actually see out of my mirrors as they don’t shake constantly like the Crapco mirrors do. Oh yeah…I can’t go to certain rv resorts since it isn’t a class A..mainly places like Hearthside Grove, LVM, Polson etc. Snobs all….!
Is it perfect? No, but it isn’t bad either. Who know, we may wind up with something else later, but for now I wanted to give this a try. It sure is less expensive…$2900 for insurance compared to $16,000 for my 2016 Liberty. And I would have to pay almost 4 times as much to buy a new Liberty today as I paid for this. I know the Liberty isn’t worth that much more.

My first coach was a Newell…Now I own a Prevost and Prevost Community…hmm

PS Jon I still don’t get Tom. Tom what are you going to do with all that money anyway? The Prevost gods deserve a at least a portion of it!
-
Well since we started PC I know Tom has had 3 houses, at least 3 buses and a truck, and more cars than I can count. But I don’t know if that is what he did with ALL of the money but I bet it is a chunk of it.
Since he refuses to share, maybe this week I can convince him to adopt me and give me an allowance.

Talking about the dark side, I went SO far back I’m hiding in the corner!
I downsized to a Class-B Pleasure Way Plateau FL, 22’9″ (2021.5). I will miss the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort and Mountain Falls in Lake Toxaway, NC, etc. I was hoping to make it up to Hearthside but never made it.
After having two large coaches over a 14 yr. period, I will be able to go to places that I couldn’t fit before.
(2015 Prevost Liberty Coach, 45 ft., 4 slides, 1.5 baths)
(2008 Monaco Dynasty, 42 ft., 4 slides, 1 split bath)
If I were to consider a large coach again, it will be a Prevost.
I’ll stay in the shadows, I don’t want to get run over by you BIG guys!
Safe travels,

Hey, I’ll caravan anytime!
I’m heading to CA on Sunday pulling my ‘new-to-me’ Mini Cooper on a U-Haul trailer to have a base plate installed. It will be better at 2,700 lbs. vs. the MKX at 4,200 lbs.
Safe travels to all!
