Tom has been in communications with the folks from Hearthside Grove ( http://www.hearthsidegrove.com/ ) and they can accomodate a No-rally rally with an arrival date of Sepember 2nd, and a departure date of September 6.
This is a great time of year to be at Hearthside and it is a first class RV resort.
We would like to get a sense of how many would be interested in attending. Let us know on this thread.

Put us down.
Will probably take the SS Badger across the lake.

We’re in. Dick that won’t save you much. It’s a great drive…UP one way, east shore the other. Geo.

If the Fleming LUCK (always bad luck) does not get in the way, Helen and I will be there.

I know and the price of the boat is stiff. But we’ve talked about doing the boat for years. We went to Holland, Mich this past spring which isn’t that far from Holland and I think Council is racing at Gingerman next year. So we get pretty good exposure to the route around the south end of Lake Michigan. About the only reason I can come up with to go around the south end of the Lake Michigan is the potential to see something new on the drive through Chicago and Gary.

We will be there, already scheduled to arrive on Sept 1st, depart on Sept 5th.

This may have been asked before, but in their website, they say they restrict coaches to 10 years old. So only Precosts newer than 2006 can camp there?
-
Tim,
As other have said many times before, tell them its a 2006,7,8 or 9 etc. they wont know any different. I’m sure no campgrounds/resorts mind having any Prevosts on their properties in a ‘raising the tone’ kinda way.
-
Tim:
Do like you have to do in court….LIE!
Most, if not all campgrounds cannot tell the age of a Prevost, so tell then your coach is 3 years old. They will not know the difference.

I always tell anyone in an RV park that asks that it is a new coach.
The car is 65 years old however.

FWIW, when I went there 4 years ago one of the owners lead me to my site and mentioned that I had an 04 but that the lights were definitely upgraded. So, they know. Now, that said, I called another time and asked the question and was told that they are fine as long as it shows “pride of ownership”. Still, I hedge my bets. After my upgrades last year I removed the “Series 2004” stickers from both sides of the coach and replaced with “Series 2014” stickers. Go ahead. Guess what year I have, campground operator…..!

Very slick Karl!
And Fred, we don’t lie “in court” … we lie in talking with the subjects before we get to court 🙂
